No fouls except for one that Marion got, I found that surprising... Maybe the refs are give Johnson more respect? If both players should a decent percentage I think we'll win a lot of games. Since Joe is doing that almost all the time all we need is Marion to stay consistant...and don't let Eisely or Barbosa shoot 0-9 or something...

This is the way Marion used to play or least more often. I keep hoping that JJ and Shawn will learn to work together more with JJ drawing double teams and getting the ball to Shawn.

Barbosa finally had a good shooting game, 4 of 8 and 3 of 7 for 3, but I wish he's shoot something other than 3's.

Eisley had an odd game. His shooting was awfull, but he grabbed 6 rebounds and made 5 assists. Pass more, shoot less.

I think the coaching staff talked to him about shooting 3's. The past 2 games he has been driving to the basket a lot more. Tonight he was either fouled on his way to the hoop or he dished it out when the D collapsed and got a teammate a wide open shot. The 3s he took tonight were not bad IMO, they were all pretty good looks.

Especially the ones that went in. :D

Actually, I think he will always get good looks. The problem is that his flat jump shot has to either right on or it will be a total mss. Overall, I'd like to see him go to the basket more, although I'm not sure he is fully aware of just how big some of these guys are.

Overall, I'm really excited about his development. I wish he played like a ten year pro, but he seems to be making progress.

I love how active Barbosa is on defense.

He does need to tone down the 3 ball, unless he's hot.

It seemed like many of Barbosa's shots going to the basket were blocked before last nights' game. Last night he did a better job of using his body and long arms to keep the defender from blocking his lay-ups. Now, if he could only get some arch on the ball without ruining his 3 pt shot, he may not need to be "wide-open".

As for Marion, he's not any different from other good players who have bad games every so often. Like Forrest Gump says ".*it happens".

His "ugly" jump shot was one of the things that turned some scouts off prior to the draft. Right now it is so inconsistent that re-working it would not hurt anything and might help.

On layups, this is all about experience. Barbosa is so fast that he never had to deal with guys who are as athletic as he is. Of course the block by Jones in the Pacer game was unbelievable, but usually it is just a matter of using your body.

Marion's bad shooting games have been more common than his good ones this year, but this may change once Amare comes back. It is going to be hard for teams to double team JJ and Amare and still have tight coverage on Marion.

Barbosa's shot is so flat, it looks like it cannot go it. As it is, I don't think its physical possible for him to swish the ball, for it to go down its going to have to hit the back of the rim. A little more arch, even without a form change, would increase his accuracy.

I think I remember the Suns coaches and staff saying that they did not intend on changing Barbosa's shot because it was effective. Even after he struggled on the road trip he still shooting 44% and just under 40% from beyond the arc since the trade.

What concerns me is that Barbosa can't get the shoot off when he has a defender in his face because they block it easily.

In the Lakers game he got at least 2 3pters blocked by Fisher and Rush.

He needs to develop a middle range jumper that is more orthodox. With his arm length, he should be able to get it off.
