It's alls well that ends well but I still have a question.
On that "spike" play. Does the Ref have some responsibility to make sure both sides are set before placing the ball in play? I mean correct me if I'm wrong but is he's not suppossed to be concerned the Cowboys were out of time outs and put the ball in play as quickly as he could, is he?
I mean if he wanted to a Ref could always rush up to the line and place the ball down with players on the other side of the scrimage line, couldn't he?
I thought the remedy for that was a delay of game call? Isn't that why it was critical to determine if LaBoy were injured or not? If injured there's no delay penalty. But off-sides????????
