SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Iowa State women's basketball sophomore Audi Crooks has spent her first two seasons rewriting the program’s record book, piling up historical mark after historical mark.
Crooks achieved another program first Wednesday, becoming the first Cyclone sophomore to earn All-America team honors from both the Associated Press and US Basketball Writers of America.
The star center was named a third-team All-American for both organizations. It’s the second and third All-America honors for Crooks in her career after earning an AP All-America honorable mention nod last season.

It’s richly deserved for Crooks, who followed up a huge freshman season with a giant sophomore season. Heading into the NCAA Tournament, she's averaging 23.2 points per game and she led the Big 12 Conference in scoring, shooting over 60% from the floor.
Crooks, a native of Algona, leads the nation in field goals made with 304 this season. Her 562 in her career ties for the 10th-best mark in Iowa State history with Hallie Christopherson.
She already broke Iowa State’s single-season records for points (765) and made field goals this season. She’s the only Big 12 player to rank in the top 5 in the conference for both scoring and rebounding.
Crooks has a chance to add to her big numbers when the 11-seed Cyclones play 11-seed Princeton in one of the First Four games of the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday night.
