As Iowa (22-10, 10-8 Big Ten) practiced Tuesday in preparation for their first-round NCAA Tournament matchup, the Hawkeyes were overcome with joy and even tears as senior guard Kylie Feuerbach announced she would be returning to the program next year for her sixth and final season.

In a social media post on Tuesday afternoon, the program shared the heartwarming moment, which depicted multiple teammates crying in joy and others screaming in delight as they circled Feuerbach following practice from Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Feuerbach has started all 32 games for the Hawkeyes in the 2024-25 campaign so far, averaging 6.4 points per game on 37% shooting from the field, 27.4% from beyond the arc, and 75.5% from the charity stripe. She also leads the Hawkeyes in steals (1.3 per game) and is averaging 2.3 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game.

The Sycamore, Ill., native has been an integral part of the Hawkeyes' defense, tasked with disrupting the opposition's backcourt and stifling their top scorers.

With Feuerbach returning for another season, Iowa can be more at ease when looking at next year's team with a defensive leader back in the mix.
