The commercials said it doesn't start till Jan 16th but Tivo recorded 4 shows so far

Awesome adaptation of the Japanese version..... I don't particularly like Bobby Flay or Wolfgang Puck, but it is nice to see an American spin on the show.

Anyone else watch the old show?? Very high on the unintentional comedy scale

actually i noticed that too. we watched the one last night with Wolfgang Puck. couldn't figure out why - if it's supposed to be starting on the 16th - it was on already?

i do agree though - so far it seems like a good adaptation. i'm glad that an american one is starting - the other one was very comical to watch, but only because of the voice-overdubs were weird. felt like i was watching a kung-fu show all the time.

i hope the american version does well over here - it's a pretty cool show.

i remember when i was a kid i wanted to be a chef...i was a weird kid.

The ones you recorded were from last year originally, the pilot series or mini-series to see if there was interest. Apparently, there was enough to warrant it as a series.
