First off Freddie Jones is a TE, secondly I think that Fitz is questionable for Sunday, Johnson probable.

Therefore, it would be Williams; Johnson and Poole

That's what I'm hoping for - that it's just posturing by Green.

A team can get fined, quite severely, for making false reports about player injuries. I think there is a gray area though, I think you can say whatever you want as long as you are honest when you enter the player's status prior to the game... questionable, probable, doubtful etc......

The Broncos got introuble for this either last year or the year before.

I don't think what Quan did in Detroit last year is going to happen this sunday with Fitz if he plays, or anything even close to it for that matter. I would be surprised if Fitz gets over 60 yards receiving if he plays. He hasn't had hardly any reps all preseason.

The timing is going to be way off with him and McCown. That goes for BJ too.

I was worried when Q went down.....

but I'm beginning to believe that the system is what makes this offense go. If our back-ups were dropping balls all preseason long, I would be worried. Thats not the case. The Rams really have no idea who our " go to" guy is. Newhouse and Poole have both shown the ability to go over the middle and down the field. The Rams will try to take somebody out of the game. They will double somebody. It will be up to Josh to go to the guys that are in single coverage.
I'm not worried. I'm actually excited to see who steps up!

Ask Mike Shanahan about how often he gets fined for being misleading about a player's injury.

I swear, when I saw Fitz at both the SD and Raiders games, he did not look or act very hurt. He ran down the sideline after Poole's big catch in the Raiders game. I fully expected him to be back at practice and play against Denver.

Part of me thinks that after Boldin and Shipp went down, Green decided he was not going to lose the other two guys because of a preseason injury. I think that it is entirely possible that they are both ready to go against the Rams.

I remember back in the mid-90s when the Cowboys were busted for this. The next week, they listed 20 or 30 players on the injury report, as "probable". It was JJ's way of ensuring Dallas was in compliance.

I hate Dallas, but it was pretty funny.

I'd be a lot more "worried" about Green playing either or both of them if they're not 100 percent. The Edward Jones Dome is one of only two NFL stadiums that still use an Astro Turf playing surface, and I wouldn't want to risk losing Larry Fitzgerald or Bryant Johnson for an extended period. Injuries come more easily if you're already hurt, and we all know how unforgiving Astro Turf can be.

Besides, with their lack of practice and playing time over the summer, I'd be surprised if either player was capable of making a difference in this game. The Cardinals are gonna have to dance with the wideouts they've got.

That's not the key to this game, anyway. If the Cards DL can't get pressure on Bulger, and/ or the DBs can't stay with the Rams WRs, it's Game Over. The only question then will be whether St. Louis covers the spread, and by how much.
