Well, put me down as being afraid of the Spurs, Mavs, Nuggets, Lakers (if they are healthy) and Utah and all for the same reason: They are all longer than we are and if any of them can control the pace of the games, we are vulnerable.

We can also beat every one of those teams and we are getting better at half court offense.

I thought Dallas was the best team all season but now I think the Spurs will win the West.

Why would anyone be afraid of any team? I'm concerned that Dallas and San Antonio can beat us, but afraid? No way. Fear is a cop-out. If we get beat, it won't be because we're "afraid" of them, it's because they played better than us and we just didn't want it enough.

We are certainly capable of beating any team in the league, it's just a matter of getting that mindset down--which seems to be a failing of this team. If I'm afraid of anything, it's our tendency to psyche ourselves out.

In Dallas during the playoffs which is probably why Cuban didn't want to resign him, Bibby owned him and according to that Kings loss... still does. I think a lot of the media buzz is that Nash is carrying the Suns franchise on 30+ year old legs (and back) so when the playoffs start he just might become burnt out. That is faltering down the stretch. We'll see if it happens.

LMAO. That is a joke. First off you know how many time Nash and Bibby have faced off? You obviously don't watch the Suns. Nash has had great games against Bibby. Just because Bibby goes off against him once in a while means squat.

Also, I think we know what faltering down the stretch means. There has been zero evidence of it since he got here. So there is no reason to think he might become burnt out.

The key words there are "since he got here", Mavs fans remember him faltering down the stretch all too well. If you watched the Kings in their prime with Bibby, Webber, Peja, and Divac they were considered elite (you should know, they are in your division) and Nash simply couldn't do anything to stop Bibby nor score on him which drove us crazy, he faltered against our competition and Bibby over their careers has owned him (you obviously didn't watch Nash as a Maverick).

I'm just pointing out he HAS faltered down the stretch so when the playoffs come it's not exactly out of the realm of possibility. You make it sound like it can't happen but since he has never been to the finals you know that isn't realistic.

The Spurs are really longer than us? Why Tim Duncan and? Francisco Elson??

The Spurs are one of my lesser worries, they are not as big as they used to be, they are not athletic and they are not too fast.

Raja Bell should contain the Flopper, Shawn Marion should outplay Bruce Bowen and Nash and Amare showed many times they can dominate their matchup of Parker/Duncan.

Last time we played the Spurs in the playoffs they still had Nazr and Rasho right? We didn't have Joe Johnson, didn't have Kurt Thomas and didn't have Raja Bell. Leandro Barbosa wasn't even close to what he is now.

Even Horry is "longer" than anyone in the Suns rotation. That doesn't mean he's any good, but if you're talking only about length, the Spurs have the edge.

NO kidding. Barbosa off the bench can really hurt a team like this if they are even the slightest bit tired.

The Suns biggest weakness against the Spurs 2 years ago was Q. All he did that year was shoot 3's and the Spurs guard the 3 very well. Q was worthless. Raja and KT are perfect additions against the Spurs.

either way, as we have seen from the game tonight, the spurs are as good of a team as there is in the WC. I'm glad dallas doesn't appear to have the honor of playing them in the 2nd round again.

We are shooting 37% and have just 7 assists after 3 quarters and still in the game..
yes, but the spurs are doing a great job. I wish dallas would defend the suns this well.

your kidding me, right? Marion's fetal position performance in that round is what was our biggest weakness. Q had two horrible games (0 and 7 points), but had three very solid games (13, 14 and 18 points), while Marion was COMPLETELY AWOL.
