I don't think @sunsfan88 was literally talking about trading Booker now. He understands how the NBA works.
I agree with you on the last part but it wouldn’t be possible to trade him till the summer when his contract kicks in and he won’t be making $3 million a year anymore then.Well, if you'll check this forum you'll see I've been concerned and talking about his injuries since his rookie year. I agree they are a problem. And I'd have no problem if we decided to move on from him because of his training habits or whatever it is that leads him to be so susceptible to injury. But, when posters suggest he's overrated or not that good, I think it's appropriate to point out that we aren't seeing Booker at his best. And even if we decide that injuries will likely keep us from seeing him at his best very often, trading him while he's only making 3 million a year is not a smart move.

Skill wise, i don’t think he’s overrated on the offense end but as a player overall he may be because he’s one of the biggest liabilities defensively that I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen teams game plan to exploit Nash and Amare defensively but that’s nothing compared to how bad Booker is on that end. Even James Harden back when people were making long YouTube videos of his defensive lowlights was not this bad. One of the biggest reasons opponents get so many opportunities in the paint against us is because they blow by Booker more so than any of our other players.
And he’s actually getting worse and worse defensively rather than improving. Sure, it might be because of injuries like you said, but if that’s the case then it’s better to sell him at his highest value before his body just breaks down altogether.
I don’t think we’ve necessarily asked him to do this besides when other teams set screens and such to purposely get Booker matched up on their best player (who may be a PG).Well, I disagree that Harden and Nash were less frequently exploited on defense than Booker is. Nash was limited but eventually tried to cover his man the best he could. Harden could always play defense but he chose not to for a few years. But I'd also point out that in addition to playing out of shape and hobbled, Booker is just barely quick enough for the shooting guard position so expecting him to guard even the slower point guards is clearly asking too much of him.

Especially when Melton was healthy, he guarded the opposing PG match ups and for the most part, Okobo does too I believe.
