Is Larry Fitzgerald now the best WR in the game?

Don't you think staying on the field should be part of being the best?

Absolutely! But Fitz has missed games the last two seasons hasent played a full season since 2005. But still several less games missed than Q! Thats why I strictly argue from the standpoint of "when they are on the field"

Already saw that

Congrats buddy! But Im coming after you with a vengeance! :)

Oh, I know you are. But this time I will actually have a link to the right league. :D

But you still did not answer the question. You said Fitz was top 5. Who would you swap him for that is better?

What?
Why is it crazy? Because he is on our team? Hey whatever man you can call him whatever you want. But in the end I agree he is top 5 and a huge talent who I love having!

Name five teams that wouldn't trade for Fitz. Then follow that with five that wouldn't trade for Q.

I could name 31! Because it is an impossibility to trade for him due to the cap. Im not living in a fantasy world. Q's cap hit is significantly lower due to size of contract and already in his 3rd year in it. Im not living fantasy here.

You would be hard pressed that if either were available to find 5 teams that wouldn't seriously want either of them.

If the tables were turned and Q was locked under the new big contract and Fitz wasnt? I would trade Fitz for Greg Jennings, Reggie Wayne and Roy Williams without even blinking an eye. Because they would be the speed WR on the other side of Q.

Right now I would have no problem if the team did that(trade) with Q to compliment Larry on the other side either. Whatever would make us better and more diverse I would do. Team comes first!

So your answer is all 31 would do the trade. I never asked to take into account the cap. :)

I just told you 3 people. :)

Are you referring to this?

Whos better? You could make a case for Greg Jennings, Brandon Marshall, Roddy WHite, and Reggie Wayne at this point in time. Its all subjective. That being said I wouldnt take one of those guys over Fitz!

I would not trade Fitz for any of those guys and neither would you. Maybe I am marking the wrong post.

In any case, I am just happy to be a Fitz fan.

If he could stay healthy, I would consider a Roy Williams trade. I think his speed makes him a little more dangerous in this offense. However Williams has peaked, will be 27 and can't stay healthy so no deal.

I told my buddy right after Dallas scored to go up 14-7, "They have to start throwing the ball to Fitz. I don't care if he's doubled, he's a playmaker and you can't let them take him away." We had the perfect view on both of those fantastic catches and my buddy said, "You know what you're talking about! He is SICK!"

Fitz is unstoppable and is a guranteed TD on the fade route near the endzone. I have yet to see a defender that can properly defend or outjump Fitz on that route. He can jump and he has sure hands. What else do you need?

I don't remember which site but it was nfl.com or cbssportsline or foxsports.com (I check all three each week) and the fantasy guru opined this time that Fitzgerald should now be considered the #1 fantasy WR in football.

If you care to look it up and have the time, I'm sure you can find it.

Q has been a monster this year. TD machine. Fitz is Fitz and Q is Q. Both are money, and its like choosing a child. If this were Sophie's choice I would go Q. Monster.

Did anybody watch Houston come back on Miami last weekend? Andre Johnson is pretty damn good, he's a younger more polite version of T.O. w/o the humungo attitude. He made some disgusting catches late in the 4th Q, one he had absolutely no business catching while the defender was putting his hands on the ball between his, he rips it and gets the 1st, it was the best play of the week, that nobody saw probably.

Just saying he deserves top 5 ability mention IMHO, w/ a real QB, he'd be lights out, #1 in the league possibly.

AJ has a ton of speed, and size, I'm just saying... he'd be a nice compliment to either one of our studs.

All that said, Q is the man IMHO, his attitude while on the field, makes the difference for me, when he has the ball, he goes BEAST MODE and I love that FO SHIZZLE!

Pfft. Reggie Wayne is the only one that you could even consider. Greg Jennings or Roy Williams?

Get the hell outta here.

Arguably the best in the league, and on our own team.

You can make arguements for both Fitzgerald and Boldin. We have done it to death on this board and it is a foolish debate to try and win.

As for the league. It is hard to say. There are some WR that are really good but lack the QB connection.

Plus guys like Greg Jennings on GB that lack the coverage.

Hard question to ask.

If you were to ask my opinion, purely on what I have seen?

Fitzgerald is the most dominant player in the league right now. When he is motivated there is little you can do to stop him.

Definitely top 5.

Now consider his age. Fitz has yet to hit his prime! Fitz is a Pro Bowl fixture for the next 5 years IMO.

I can't think of anyone I would straight out trade Fitz for. Andre Johnson comes close but that would be pretty much a wash IMO.

I love Boldin but he isn't getting any younger and his injury history is starting to become a factor. The older you get the more you fall apart and Boldin is approaching 30 rapidly. Boldin's style of play means that he takes a lot of hits. That's doesn't equate to a long career in the NFL.

I used to think Boldin was the best player on this team. However he has cleary been surpassed by Fitz this season.
