U drinking again fellow Texan? I've gotten the Cards broadcast the last 2 games too. ;)

I don't get it. The NFL Network game last week was blacked out here because the Cowboys game was on local TV. Saturdays game I got the San Diego broadcast. Maybe because I was watching through PreSeason Live instead of the NFL Network? Pre Season live still has the Cowboys broadcast.

I like him too. He does bleed Cardinal red. I have had a number of conversations with him at his restaurant. Very nice man, very passionate about his sports.

Wolf is cool, he's just taken too many gladiator hits to the head on special teams. I like his crazy analogies, it keeps it interesting. He's also pretty astute, for a crazy guy! :p

Hes like the Cardinals Bill Walton (whom I also like)

Yeah he does remind me of Walton in that respect. Walton got a little annoying last year but last year he had an agenda so he was being annoying on purpose.

Wolfley I don't think has an agenda he just is who he is.

He definately puts the COLOR in color commentating, and, yes, he is a little whacko.

It is entertaining for a while, but it tends to get a little old. He should be doing WWE instead of football.

The only thing that makes sense is that NFL Network may offer (subject to blackout regs) more than one feed for its cable and satellite stations to choose from.

I'm not positive about this but - for the one hour when the live NFLN DirecTV feed was pre-empted by whipparound coverage and the half hour of Rex Ryan at the podium - I tuned into the nfl.com streamed feed and got SD announcers whining incessantly about poor officiating. But when I went back to DirecTV's NFLNet's (post Rex) feed at the hour and a half mark, I got Pasch and Wolfley.

(Note - at some point early in the process, I tried to get the SIRIUS audio coverage, but they had the Ravens game on the Cardinal channel).

I'd love to be the lawyer who negotiated this ratsnest.

I think he is funny probably because he is a little crazy.
Is it just me or is Pasch getting annoyed with him?

My wife thought he was more entertaining than the game on Saturday.

he gets old fast. I used to like him on broadcasts but i think every single offensive drive he mentioned fitz learning all 3 positions every single time and started giving me a headache spewing the same **** over and over all night.

I absolutely cannot stand him. I should watch the preseason with the mute button on.

I love Wolf. I've met him so many times, and he is always very nice and asks about my family.

He is also a very intelligent and well read individual. Love his broadcasts and analogies.

Like others have said, he bleeds Cardinal Red.

The ones I CAN'T STAND are the ones with no loyalty to arizona sports and are loyal to their home towns i.e. new york and chicawgo.

You want to take up air time talking about the yanks and the blackhawks? Fine. Move back.

Agree with that completely. Hate how they are on still on because of the transplants who are so in favor of where they come.

I'm guessing you talked football. I asked him to please change the blue cheese dressing back to the original recipe. (Haven't been back since then to see if he pays attention to fan requests.)

Did he say something stupid in response like "Sometimes you're the bleu and sometimes you're the cheese... today you're clearly bleu because you ain't go no cheese! Am I right, Basinonians?! ARE YOU TALKIN' TO MEEEEEEEEEEEE?!?!?!"

Unfortunately, I can't claim to be the recipient of a Wolfism. Though I was the recipient of one of Tommy Lasorda's famous quotes. I said something about OJ Simpson to him the day after the slow speed chase. (We shopped in the same grocery store.) Tommy got totally unhinged, looked at me and yelled, "OJ Simpson! That SOB!! If he's guilty I hope that ****** ****** fries in hell!!!!" Steam came out of the top of his head.

It was epic.

Wolfley's awful on TV. There's some small degree of professionalism that I expect from a television announcer that Wolf just can't bring to the table.

When he's on the radio 16 games a year, though, it's like sitting next to a drunk above-average fan, so I don't seem to particularly mind. Because Pasch doesn't have to do radio-style play by play, Wolf just eats up airtime in the preseason with nonsense and blather.

I've listened to Raider radio broadcasts, and Wolfley's no worse than those guys--maybe better. It's just bad when it's on television.

It's kind of a NY (Giants/not Jets) tradition that you low-ball the optimism for your team. Having (against my will) grown up in the Giant tradition, I try to abide to that philosophy.

While I love Wolfley's colorful style, his "heavy on the Kool-Aide" diva-like approach to the Cardinals makes me grit my teeth and want to change the channel.

Never heard him on the radio, but he is the worst color guy Ive ever seen on TV. He comes off like a complete imbecile. A buffoon, but without the entertaining part.

I find him very entertaining especially on the Doug & Wolf radio show back in the morning.
