Already more wins than last year and that is the goal win more games than you won the year before.

6-4 after 10 games maybe should be 7-3 that Rams game might comeback to haunt us.in a legit hunt for the wild card, not many people seen that coming. Dansby and Abraham look like great FA signings. Despite injuries to Cooper and Okafor Ellington and Badger have been breathes of fresh air for this team we stole two electrifying players in the draft.

The team is in a great position yet some fans will tell you Arian's is an idiot every chance they get and the defense has been as good if not better under Bowels.

I say its house money from now until the end of the season for the cardinals

Absolutely, hell NOT!!!

Yes, I predicted a miserable 3 to 5 win season, but I can now change my expectations based on how the team has come along.

To end the season with a six game losing streak would be completely miserable. Maybe even worse than never being above .500 the whole season.

But that's whole point you didn't think they would be in this position but now they are. So 10 games in there better than most thought now its just a bonus what they do the rest of the way

I highly doubt this team is going to go on a 6 game losing streak

We are getting better- I predicted we wouldn't se what we have in 2013 until the bye week. Palmer like any QB needs time to get established, our weakness is the run game, seeing how we didn't practice run and our #1 draft pick went down-

We are about 75% of 2013 potential right now- from here on out progress will be slower and harder to see- hopefully we hit full 2013 potential week 16 and 17 -

Our full potential will take slow progress through next year, 2014, with the same core players.

Nope. My ceiling on this team was 9-7. This season is a success if we end up 8-8 or better.

You can't assume that you're playing with House Money in Week 10. There's much more work to be done, particularly if the league spotlight starts to fall on this team.

Successful, maybe. The problem is the Cards are starting to give me hope, and when that happens watch out. Things can go to hell in a hand basket very quickly.

I know it's a success for a friend of mine. Prior to the season, they put a six figure bet on the Cards to go over the season win total of 5 1/2.

True. Around here we tend to compare the current team to past Cardinal teams instead of comparing them to the rest of the teams in the NFL. To have a successful NFL season they need to win 9 games.

0-3 in division, not a success yet
We won games we were supposed to win so far

It's a success up to this point. However, we simply can't pack it up and be happy with it. If we lose our next 6 games we will forget all about this "successful seaon".

I see what you are saying and even sort of agree. Many if not most on this board (let alone the rest of the world) didn't see us winning 6 games this season. I think Vegas had the over/under at 5.5 games. Some even had the opinion that This season was over :) a few weeks aog. So, by that measure we are a success.

But the season isn't over so you can't say the season was a success because 6 wins in a season isn't a success.

I personally thought we were a .500 team and went optimistic and said 9-7. So they are right on target for me. I guess in the end it all depends on what your expectations were at the start of the season.

Progress is winning more games than the previous season.

Success is making the playoffs.

The Cardinals have made progress, there is no disputing that. If 'we' make the playoffs, I will consider it a successful season even if we lose the first game.

But if somebody asks BA about the playoffs I hope he does his best Jim Mora Sr. imitation.

BA has already said we will make the playoffs, zero doubt and that was at least a couple of weeks ago. It was when the NFL announced that two teams will have to participate in the Hard Knock series. One of the exceptions a team can use if they don't want to participate is if they made it to the playoffs the previous year and that's when BA said he doesn't want to partake and it doesn't matter because the Cards are going to the playoffs.

Back to the OP, losing 6 games in a row at the end of the year would be a failure. Finishing 7-9 for the season would be a failure. Getting to 8-8 based on the remaining schedule would be disappointing but acceptable.

Up until this point I say the season has been a success. If we lose out it will be a failure.
I think our defense is to good to lose out and with some continued good play from Palmer and the offense we could actually win 10 games which would be startling.

Well done. I didn't expect the Cards to have 6 wins so it is kinda like house money, except that we are 6-4 and we still aren't playing our best football.

As others have said, expectations have changed. I would be happy with 8-8, elated with 9-7 or better.

would anyone think its a success if they lose their final 6 to go 6-10? I think it would be pretty grumpy around here if that happened

My minimum expectations for this year was to be competitive and playing meaningful games in December. So far, so good.

Pretty much sums it up for me. 8-8 and it's a HUGE step forward. 9-7 or 10-6 is well beyond my expectations.

Our division is stocked with good defenses, just tough. Playing 6 of our 16 games against these guys is tough out the gate. So far, we haven't got a division win. I expect one against the Rams at home, though. If we can get 1 of our next three outside of the Rams, we are in good shape, if we get TWO of them, we can start to think about playoff potential and a massive showdown with SF with playoffs on the line...
