the top roation in the bigs? our starters ERA is 2.60 which is the best in the bigs and they are 12-3 also the best in the Bigs..
I knew coming into the season we were going to have one of the better 1-2 punches in all of baseball with webb and haren but now Michah is throwing real well is like webb 4-0 i think davis will give us some good starts and i also feel even though RJ ran into a wall after 90 pitches the other day that he will give us some nice starts this year also..his fast ball reached 94 on the gun the other day so i thing with a little more time to find his release points and timimg he will win some games for us this year...any thoughts?

a little about me I live in Surprise about a mile from the royals/rangers sring facility.. I was born in PHX(good Sam) moved to michigan when i was 4 I am retired thru the military and i love baseball and i always have since i was little growing up as a child in tigers stadium. I became a dbacks fan in 98 when the team 1st took the field and have not looked back since!

Slide Davis up to 3rd, only to separate the lefties, and I think you've got it.

You can look at it as RJ follows everyone. Or, once it gets going, Webb pitches after RJ.

It separates righties and lefties and pitching speeds.

And if a day off comes up, if it could be Johnson, it would help him last longer.

The Padres' starting staff is pretty good too, but is a little top heavy with Wolf and Germano bring up the rear. I would say that it is tough to name a better starting rotation than what the D'backs are throwing out there everynight.

However, I think Boston's rotation is pretty filthy and will be for years to come:
Josh Beckett (27 years old)
D. Matsuzaka (27)
Jon Lester (24)
Clay Buchholz (23)
Tim Wakefield (41!)

That is a disgustingly good 1-4... and they have some minor leaguers who can be a fabulous number 5.

Wakefield is a knuckballer, they have literally half the strain on their arm as a typical pitcher, he could go till he's 50 ala Phil Kiekro, Tom Candiotti and Charlie Hough

You forgot to mention C.C. Sabathia and Fausto Carmona. But considering how badly Sabathia's been pitching so far (aside from his last 2 starts), I can't say that I blame you for that.

the petco effect causes their era to be lower then it actually is and even with that...the back rotation is 16-4 with the best ERA rotation in the majors!
