I have heard his cap hit is not significant so probably not, but what are they going to do w/this guy?
If we sign no other RB's then TJ needs to be on this team. HE has never showed that he is a distraction or a cancer. So if he has no trade value then he could be a valuable Backup for when Shipp goes down. And he will IMO. Why give him away by cutting him. Although most of us did not want TJ when he was picked(we wanted Urlacher) Rb has been a constant problem on this team due to injury or suspensions. We need him for depth. Not untested ,undrafted project guys. TJ is probably closer to an Adrian Murrell than he is to a Marshall Faulk or Garrison Hearst. But I would rather not give him away for anything less than a #3. Does anyone want to see Shipp injured and hear that Anderson or Scobey is now the starting back. That would suck with our line being as good as it is. Tj with this line and healthy has already shown that he can get it done on the field. He would make the best back up. Good question King.Originally posted by KingofCards

Since this is TJ's last year contract wise, it makes no difference whether we cut him now or after June 1. Under both scenarios, the cap hit for this year is 1/4 of his signing bonus, and his cap hit for next year is $0.
I would expect we are holding him as trade bait, but since we let T-Bo go for nothing, I cant imagine we'll get much for TJ.

Who the hell is T-Bo? Is that some new name you gave David Boston?
