Virginia transfer Isaac McKneely is visiting Tennessee basketball on Tuesday, a source with knowledge of the situation told Knox News on Friday.

The source requested anonymity because McKneely hasn't announced his plans.

McKneely was the ACC's best 3-point shooter this season, knocking down 42.1% with 101 made 3-pointers. The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 14.4 points as a junior.

McKneely has one season of eligibility left. The Poca, West Virginia, native is a career 42.2% 3-point shooter and is averaging 11.1 points across three seasons.

The Vols have four returning scholarship players in guard Bishop Boswell and forwards J.P. Estrella, Felix Okpara and Cade Phillips. They have three incoming freshmen in four-star forward DeWayne Brown II, four-star guard Amari Evans and three-star guard Troy Henderson.

Tennessee has been one of the nation's most successful teams in the transfer portal in the past two offseasons. Dalton Knecht and Chaz Lanier are among the biggest portal success stories in college basketball. Jordan Gainey, Igor Milicic Jr. and Okpara have been key players for Tennessee as well out of the portal.

Knecht was the SEC player of the year and a first-team All-American in the 2023-24 season with the Vols. The former junior college guard averaged 21.7 points after transferring from Northern Colorado. He was drafted No. 17 overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2024 NBA Draft and is the highest-drafted player under Barnes.

Lanier earned All-SEC honors and has been named an All-American this season. The North Florida transfer is averaging 18.1 points and shooting 41% on 3-pointers. He had made 120 3-pointers to set a Tennessee single-season record, breaking Chris Lofton's mark of 118 that stood since 2007-08.
