Imagine how it feels to be 49ers fan. The only team we have beaten!

CFL:

The same 49ers that've won two games this year, are one notch above the Cardinals in the NFC West, and still get to play the Cards at home? Those 49ers?

Yeah, that'd be much worse. :sarcasm:

The 2003 team also squeaked out a win against the Niners at home, then went on the road to lose to them 50-14 in one of the most nightmarish performances in team history.

That team had given up on their coaches too...One Heartmurmer.

Depends on which team was at home and which was on the road.

BTW. Someone should fire this scenario up in Madden and tell us the results.

2006 would stomp them. And that's saying a lot.

The 2003 Cards were the worst team I had the displeasure of watching.

That SF half a hundred game was also the one where McCown threw the ball off of Shelton's facemask in the endzone.

And the one where nobody covered TO for a touchdown catch. I don't mean he was covered badly, but there was literally nobody covering him...they forgot about him on a redzone play.

Worst Cardinal team of all time = 2003 by a landslide.

Who would you root for?? I'd be rooting for the 2003 team!! Something about this team inspires HATE in me. They talked a lot of trash and didn't back it up...pathetic.

The only thing that saves my sanity is that I somehow black these memories out. I don't remember a single play from that game except the pass to shelton. I also don't remember anything from when we got blanked in Cleveland.

EDIT - see, I didn't even remember we scored 6 points at Cleveland. Too bad they scored 44. I was confused with the KC game... 49- zippy.

Ironically the Bay Area media is all over Nolan today. One ex player on tv yesterday Mike Shumann said when is Nolan going to look in the mirror.

After the game on the post game radio Show Gary Plummer(ex player) was glowing about Frank Gore and how Alex Smith looks better this year and Nolan finally said "I'm glad you guys are still positive but frankly, I'm pissed off."

Nolan's plan was to rebuild the offense first, he's done that, it's much improved. The problem is he underestimated how bad his defense was and he really needs to focus on fixing that now. He announced he's not firing any of his assistants(what a novel concept no scapegoating) but he said the problems are on the field, not off the field which is why he's under fire now for not taking any blame himself.

I'd root for 2006. I didn't like that 2003 team one dirty bit...Anquan and Emmitt, Wilson and that was about it.

I like this 2006 team so much better, but they are the dictionary definition of "underachievers".

Ugh....

You are bringing back some awful, awful memories.

Wasn't the 0-38 loss to Seattle at home that year too?

See, I can't stand underachievers. I can't stand dirty players. I think we have a roster full of "bad" guys right now.

I only root for the logo.

Me and my son had a long talk about how losing is cool. I'm a liar.

The 49ers have been outscored 89-29 in their last two games. That's pretty bad, even by Cardinal standards.
Everyone expected the 49ers to suck this year (still rebiuling). I think most meadia pundents picked AZ to be the cinderella playoff team again (idiots). I belive the fans had higher expectations than ususal as well.

No smack.

I've wanted to come by and see how you all are doing but after that punch in the gut on monday night I figured you would just think I was here to kick you in the balls, but that happend at the raiders game.

So it looks as though some 49er players are starting to "phone it in" one thing about Nolan though, is that he sees this and has no problem getting rid of these types.

Do you think some AZ players are giving up on the year, and what do you think the coaching situation will be next year.

Many Cardinals fans were cautiously optimistic following the MNF, Chicago game. If the Cards had continued to play as well as they did in that game they would have won the last two and the next two!!

As it is at this point, we are on life support... :thud:
