The greatest QB to ever put on a Cardinal Jersey walked away today...with atleast a half a tank of gas left in the Car. He stuck with us when he was benched. He played for us when he had 1 arm. He Won with us behind his ability, knowledge and termination that only a handful of people have EVER had in my lifetime. It is a sad day here. The team not only lost a franchise QB, they lost a franchise person. He never put himself first when it came to the progression of our team.

And what is even more incredible than a grocery stock person winning the Super Bowl?

He took the Cardinals to the Super Bowl and came within a defensive play of beating the greatest statistical defensive team to ever play of winning the SUPER BOWL.

This fan will always have the 2008 season. And some day my grandchildren will hear about it...ALOT.

Good luck Kurt.

Cardinal Nation? Really?

Do we have to be like the Raiders...or Red Sox? Yuck!

It only took 22 years to have a star player for the Cards retire while still on the Cardinals roster.

We're a real NFL team now and I don't see any indication that it is going to change any time soon.

Until Matt proves me wrong, I have all the faith he will be a managble qb for us. Give him the complete offseason to prepare, training camp, and so forth. DOnt give me the crap about him having a chance, its hard to be productive when you are looking over your shoulder the whole time. We all need to get behind him and give him the chance he deserves.

I am not sad to see Kurt go, I am glad he is leaving in one piece! I respect everything he has done for this organization and just thinking of what he gave me after 40+ years of frustration just brings a big big smile on my face. Thank you Kurt!! :D:D

Sad?

A I guess. maybe a little.

I am excited. Kurt Warners resurrection is the 2nd best thing to happen to this franchise over that last five years.

The best? Coach Whiz.

Who "has adapt his philosophies to utilize the talent he had here in AZ" or in more clear terms " I got Warner, Fitzgerald and Boldin, I can easily win by throwing the ball even though that is not my personal philosophy"

Oh boy. Changes, not radical changes, but changes are coming, and I am excited to see where Whiz can take us.

This opens the door up to a lot of possibilities.

Not sad at all. Happy for Kurt, and I'm glad he's leaving while on top of his game. I'd hate to see him end his career with an injury or just depleted of his skills.

Enjoy your life with your kids, Kurt. You've earned it.

Warner is going out on top. That's the way the best should go out.

Would it have been wonderful if he came back for another season? Yeah, maybe. But it could have also been a disaster for all we know. I'm glad he's going out a winner--no small feat considering the Cardinals' history (that's not a slam, just a fact).

He did wonderful things for us and he is leaving on top. Thanks Kurt.

Now it's time to move on.

Yea the more you think about it...the more amazing it is. The Rams were 4-12 before Kurt played. The Rams were abysmal. He made them great(of course he had help) But Bulger never did what Warner did. And then we have our Cardinals. Jake did do some amazing magic. But the funny thing with Jake was he would be the reason why we would be in the hole in the first place. I use to remember watching Jake throw his usual first half Pick 6 and then we would trail by 10 in the 4th quarter. He would run around and call some sand lot plays it would seem and we would come back to beat the Lions by 3. :D 98 was great but 2008 was EPIC. He litterally took 2 bottom dweller franchises and took them to a Super Bowl.

I think Disney would have a hard time writing this story.

How about Cardinal Kingdom!?
