While you all were out seeing The Matrix my girlfriend dragged me into this movie. :(

The movie was very slow at times but all in all was extremely well acted and is a very heartfelt film about family. I liked how they used 3 generations of Douglas' to play in this film.

The movie has some funny parts as well most involving Kirk Douglas. I cant believe how unbelievably sad it is to watch him on the big screen talking the way that he does following his stroke. I truly commend the guy. He is definately a long ways away from his days as Spartacus!

Overall I enjoyed it and will just have to catch the Matrix next weekend WOOHOO!

Nope no discounts Ryan but I do go ONLY to matinees. But hey Regal cinemas does have a rewards card and and since its inception I have recieved a whopping 4 free movie passes and several free popcorns and small drinks! Not like that is any real concellation?

I know I spend a rediculous amount of money on movies. But hey its one of the easiest and simplest forms of entertainment known to man. So in the long run I suppose its worth it.

Thats not even mentioning the money I have spent on DVDs!

If you didn't go to the Matrix then you are ahead of the game already and you made you girlfriend happy to boot.

Man, from the way you talk about the movie, one would think that Neo jumped out of the screen and punched you in the balls....it couldn't have been THAT bad

If you're that bitter over the movie - I'm sure I've got 8 bones sitting about that I can mail you. It wasn't that bad of a flick. It's was pure eye-candy.

I recently watched this and agree regarding the Kirk Douglas scenes. It was nice to see him on screen.

However, I thought this movie was pretty average, maybe even slightly below average. The plot seemed very generic and Michael Douglas appeared like he was just mailing it in.
