It's amazing how many teams could want/need a QB in next year's draft

When you add in teams with decent but aging qbs, the list gets really long. I mean teams like the giants and chargers, who we usually don't see in the discussion that will be drafting high (and above us) this coming draft. I suspect that teams that aren't willing to trade up to get their guy, will be in the same position in the '19 draft. Here is a list of some teams I feel could take advantage of their draft position and either draft for immediate need or look a couple years ahead and draft someone they believe has a future as their qb. I put the list in the order they could fall in the coming draft.

Browns
Jets
Niners
Giants
Bills
Chargers
Saints
Steelers
Cards
Skins
Jags

Cards seem to prefer obtaining experienced older QB, but outside of Garoppolo and Cousins, who might be had if offered enough, I can't think of any experienced QBs that will be floating around out there. Either way we go, it seems it will cost us several future draft picks if we are to acquire a qb this coming year. But can we come close to even thinking of that with all the needs this team has. Of course we can continue with a blind eye to those needs, which we have been good at doing for some time now. But the best hope is doing what a couple of the all time better teams seem to pull off. Find that great QB in the later rounds. If they can do it, why can't we? Is our scouting system just not up to the quality of the Cowboys? Is our only hope to find that QB overlooked by all the other teams? Could there be a Brady or Prescott still sitting at home with a Cardinal jersey on as we get to the latter part of next year's draft?

All we have to do is suck more then those teams and we have Rosen. It shouldn't be that hard right? Cardinal luck will have them winning the last four games though

If you watched the Bear game last night, you saw how a young quarterback can invigorate a team even if he makes some rookie mistakes. Trubisky made quite an impression not only with the fans but also, as quoted by Bear players after the game, his team mates.

As long as there 3 viable QBs in the draft, we are fine, because we won't be drafting 9th, we will be, at worst (or best, depending on point of view) 3rd. Even second is a distinct possibility, I doubt we can out-suck the Browns, but there is a tiny chance we can and end up first.

So, as long as there are 3 serviceable QBs available, we are fine.

There will be 9-10 QBs drafted in the first 3 rounds

Considering there's already 5 teams with worse records than us (6 if you consider the Colts tiebreaker, 8 if you consider the early bye for Miami & Tampa), and that we play in what is quite possibly the weakest division in the NFL, I'd love to know where that number is coming from.

EDIT: As I've basically been saying since the beginning of this year's draft though, we are in tons of trouble at QB, and did nothing for years to even try to address it. Instead of calling our shot, we hunkered down and have no future at the position, just a prayer that the available QBs aren't determined to be a weak class like all of the past classes keep getting proclaimed to be. All but two of the teams with worse records than us (of the 8) could very easily take a QB before we have a chance to pick, and trading up is no guarantee.

Us:
Tampa - can't beat em
every other team on schedule, except maybe 9ers... can't beat em (and 9ers is iffy)

at best 3-13

These teams are 2 and 2 (game in hand)
Dolphins
Redskins
Saints
Bucs
not one of them is going to finish worse than us, a possible tie with Miami, maybe, but I doubt that heavily

these teams are 2 and 3 (our record)
Bengals
Texans
Titans
Colts
Raiders
Cowboys
not one of them is going to finish worse than us, a possible tie with Colts, maybe

these have a worse record
Browns 0-5 will be hard to lose worse than them
Chargers 1-4 will win at least as many as us, possible tie
Giants 0-5 CLE, 9ers and Us will give them at least 3 wins, possible tie
Bears 1-4 possible tie
9ers 0-5 they figure big in the other teams hopes to improve, I think they beat us but end up
with a worse record

so I see
Browns
9ers
Cards and possible tie here with Chargers, Giants, Bears, Colts

but I expect Chargers, Giants and Bears to pull ahead of us by at least 1 game
so if Colts hanging around bottom with us for a tie, they get 3rd because we beat them

I see only 2 and maybe 3 teams ahead of us .... we probably should have lost to the Colts to cement 3rd place (and a possible 2cd if the 9ers start showing any life, it's very possible the 9ers pull ahead of us)

Did you ignore that the Giants have lost their top WRs essentially for the season? Or that the Dolphins can't get anything done on offense at all and are having a nightmare season? The Bears who are listless and starting a rookie and are also down their top receivers?

No, we haven't looked good, but we have enough top talent to sneak through a few games. I see us in the 5-7 range.

I see lots of truth in the cousins to Niners rumors, so I think they are off the table in regards to a QB in the draft. Cleveland is probably off the table as well...it was known going in to last years draft that Kizer needed at least another year to mature. So unless they destroy his psyche they will give him another year. Chargers and Gints are a possibility but I think they would both be more than likely to use their 2nd round picks on QB's since their need at the position is not dire... but they have other needs that are.

Regardless...unless we have the #2 overall pick...I would prefer to see the Cardinals use some draft capital and move up into the top 2 or 3 and be sure they get the guy they love... not the guy they love if that other guy gets picked.
I want them to pick a franchise QB and nobody in the organization to have any excuses about it.
