... no matter how many games it takes as long as Bill Walton is commenting. This is unbearable already, and it isn't even a quarter old.

Someone from the San Antonio Spurs is going to get tossed in this game if the referees don't start calling some fouls in the paint. Bill Walton and Tom Tolbert are calling them strips. I call them gropes. :)

It hasn't been the prettiest game so far.

No kidding!

To hear the broadcast crew tell it, the Spurs have no shot.

Ugh.

I'm still rather listening to Tolbert and Walton instead of german commentators.
But it gets pretty annoying when they get all excited when Kidd throws an awful pass that gets picked off.

Refs are helping New Jersey a little bit. How was Mutombo not called for an offensive foul?
Kenyon Martin's putback when Walton said it's unbelievable because the shot bounced so far away from the basket actually looked like offensive goaltending.

Of course Stephen Jackson breaking Jefferson and Martin's ankles and getting called for a charge when Collins was clearly in the circle was a joke.

PS: Sign Stephen Jackson he is close with Marbury anyway.

Stephn Jackson should have gotten an AND 1. He took TWO people to school using the exact same crossover move. It was amazing.

I can't believe how badly both teams are playing. I thought these were the two best teams in basketball.

I stopped watching the score for a second and I thought the Nets were up by ten. I looked at the score: the spurs were up by 2. Stupid Bill Walton.

I am loving this!

Tony Parker is toying around with Jason Kidd in the third quarter.

Typical Jason Kidd and what everyone here predicted would happen if you make him play in the halfcourt. He sucks very badly so far.

Hands down, Tim Duncan has got to be the best, all-around, fundamental basketball player on the PLANET.

Say what you will about Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan is the best player in the world.

Jason Kidd - 4 for 17.

That's the playoff Jason we know and love.

Why in the world would the Spurs want Jason Kidd to join their team next year? He got schooled by Parker! Ain't life grand!!!

Yeah, Duncan is pretty much unstoppable. Jason Collins looked useless but he's been that way all through the playoffs. They should play Mutumbo.

I agree chap. I said it when the Phoenix Suns played San Antonio in the first round, and I'll say it again. If I had to take one player in the MBA and build a team around him it would definitely be Tim Duncan.

Jason Kidd's poor shooting performance didn't surprise me. His slow footed defense didn't surprise me though. Usually Jason Kidd is a very good defender, and tonight the San Antonio guards were blowing right by him. I guess Jason Williams did the same thing a couple of years ago when Kidd and the Suns were playing Sacramento in the first round.

How about David Robinson tonight? He looked 5 years younger.

A great testimony to the great defensive quality of the best PG in NBA, Nets shifted Kidd to defend the bigger SG Ginobili midway through the third quarter! Wait, it didn't make sense to have Jefferson covering the much smaller Parker though! :biglaugh:  I guess nobody talks about Kidd for Parker in SA now.

They should try kittles on parker.

They may have to, but it might not work, because Kittles is NOT a defensive player.

Exactly. I think Tony Parker and/or Speedy Claxton would blow right by Kittles. I think Jason Kidd just needs to do a better job.

I agree too. Tim Duncan is so good that it is flat out scary. What I really like about him is that he can do it all- he has so many moves that he is impossible to guard.

It was great to see the Admiral play well. Too bad he missed that sweet dunk attempt in the third quarter. That would have been one of the best dunks I've seen.
