I have the Cards picking 3rd overall behind Buff and Carolina.

1st round: Patrick Peterson,CB LSU, guy is as good a CB that has come around in a while. He's way too talented for the Cards to pass on him. DRC, Peterson, and Toler would give the Cards 3 big, athletic corners to go with the small, unathletic Mike Adams :).

Round 2: Von Miller,OLB from Texas A&M. He's and edge rusher and may drop becuase he hasn't had all that productive of a year because of a bad ankle.

Round 3: Pat Devlin, QB: He sounds like Whiz type of player. Broke his wrist and played 2 weeks later. Plus he has pretty good talent level. Won't be as highly regarded as Flacco but he's not far behind. After Luck, he's got as good as chance as anyone as becoming a good NFL QB.

Round 4: Dont'a Hightower, ILB from Alabama. He's slowed by recovering from a knee injury but before he got hurt he was right there on a playmaking level with Rolando McClain. He could become a serious star in the NFL.It just depends on his knee.

Round 5: John Moffet OG/C from Wisconsin. You really can't go wrong with Wisky OL in the draft. The Cards still need to upgrade C and he could be the guy.

Round 6: Jermale Hines. SS from Ohio State. He would be a good replacement for AW. He's a great athlete, good in run support but is lacking in coverage skills.

Round 7: BPA

I don't think the Cards will draft any OL very high. They will stick with their current group and may only slide Hadnot into someone's spot. Other than Faneca, the starting OL is relatively young. I'm not saying OL shuldn't be addressed. I just don't think they will very early.

i dont think hightower will declare .he is having not a good season so i think he will stay one year more...i hope we will get a couple of free agent in the offensive line(starter) i think in the first round the best options for us will be 1)Peterson Patrick 2)amukamara prince 3)Bowers Da'Quan 4)Quinn Robert

The Cardinals have pinned themselves into a corner again. they will have no choice but to draft a QB with there first pick. Will Whiz be smart enough to start the guy or will he release him like Leinart, that is the big question.

Unless we land a top 10 pick, I'd be surprised if we took a QB at all.

I think serious attention needs to be paid to the OL in the first few rounds. It is clear that our existing unit is not talented enough.

I really think there are going to be 2-3 veteran QB's available in the offseason the problem is with the labor situation it's impossible to know what sort of trade market there will be.

I keep saying it I think Carson Palmer will be available. If Vick finishes the year well I think Philly keeps him and then makes Kolb available possibly. Those off the top of my head are the only 2 I could see worth trading for.

You know the interesting thing to me is the 2 best DL's I've seen in college football are Nick Fairley of Auburn and Marcell Dareus of Alabama the problem is they're both DT's not really DE's. Fairley is a lot like Dockett so he might be able to play DE in a 3-4, Dareus to me is a DT. So if we're a 3-4 team I doubt either kid interests us, as a 4-3 they do but I don't think we're going to change defenses.

I also really like Romeus from Pitt, he could be this years Schofield in that he had surgery on his back and while he's expected to recover fully, he hasn't yet so he won't get picked anywhere near as high as he should. He has a lot of Peppers in him former basketball player, very athletic, still learning.

There are a bunch of pass rushers likely to be in this draft so I can see us getting 1-2 of them and Romeus could slip enough to be a great value outside the first round.

Who is going to play QB? This team has to pick a QB at number one. It will be a top ten pick and trade whomever you have to to move up so as to get the best QB available. Take a look at the difference QB has made in the Rams.

A mid round developmental project QB will not cut it. The fans of this team needs hope as much as talent.

but then we have to wait after our retarted coach saying he is ready to start(when you are a talent you can start from day one)..i dont like this coach..extremely severe with the young players and not with veterans even if they make worst mistakes..a coach without balls

Carson Palmer I would take for sure. I would take Leinart back if I couldn't get a Carson Palmer type QB. I think we will be drafting top five if not number one over all. This team has quit from what I can see. I think we will be lucky to win one more game. I see us going QB in round one and a passrushing outside linebacker in round two. Wait a second, that would make sense. My bad, we will draft a fullback round one then a kicker in round two.

Drafting a QB is not an option. Thats a 3 year plan. We need a QB now and will need to hit FA for it. Most teams groom a backup. We groom them pay them a fortune and cut them the day before they start lol

Putrid is our starting QB situation. Palmer is mediocre. QB rating of 83 even with all the injuries and being surrounded by a bunch of morons.

No doubt. He's putrid at this point.

BS... Palmer is still a stud QB on a team full of knuckleheads.

Preferred Options:

1) Andrew Luck
2) K Kolb
3) Palmer
4) Newton
5) McNabb

One of those 5 has to happen or there will be some local blackouts ;)

Ok, maybe putrid isn't the word, but it's as hyperbolic as stud when describing Palmer. As a stop gap, I'd be fine with him, but anyone expecting a top 15 qb at this point will be severely disappointed.

Have you watched Carson Palmer play this year?

61% 16 TD 11 INT on a team that's essentially playing for their next contract somewhere else? Not great but an 83 passer rating if he's healthy(I think I saw something about his shoulder bothering him yesterday but don't quote me) put him on a team with Fitz and Breaston and hopefully a healthy Beanie and I think you can win.

Let me put it this way, if we had him this year we'd probably be 6-3 not 3-6.

He's no world beater but he's light years ahead of DA.

Carson Palmer is the main reason why the Bengals are 2-7. They are actually worse than we are. No thanks!

Palmer makes horrible decisions and throws. He's been bailed out by defensive mistakes and incredible WR play. I don't think he can win very many games. As a veteran who could help groom a youngster, I think he could be valuable, but I think he is overpaid. And I don't even know what his current contract looks like.

He had to get an injection for pain in his shoulder before the game.

I think he is top 15, Cincy has the 26th best rush offense in the NFL, they average more yards per game than us but a half yard less per carry. So he's the 21st rated passer in the NFL right now on a team very similar to ours in terms of run game.

He's not as good as he was before the injuries but a healthy Fitz and Breaston and Doucet(ok that may never happen) I think you can win with Palmer while you develop Hall and Skelton as future QB's.

Those picks yesterday were DAlike.

Hayden's picksix was awful I don't know who he was throwing to but he barely practiced all week. the one the LB got was equally bad but again they told us over and over he had barely practiced that week and someone else said he got shot in his shoulder before the game.

So if the shoulder is a problem yeah no interest, but if that's just a short term thing he can still play IMHO. He's not the same guy he was pre injury, but he's way better than what we have now.

I'd kill to get Andrew Luck I just don't see it happening.,
