Wiz is entirely too stubborn to adjust his play calls to his personnel, it's "Wiz way or the highway".

i.e. - running a 180lb RB up the middle on 3rd and 1 at the GB 2 yard line at the end of the 3rd qtr behind the worst OL in the NFL. The fact that we dont have the presonnel to run such a play didn't play into his decision at all. The fact that we have Fitz at WR vs LSH at RB would tell any creature capable of intelligent thought that you throw to Fitz and either end up with 6 or a flag.

Between Wiz way or the highway...I choose highway. See ya Wiz.

Fitz and Floyd, both big guys with strong hands and leaping ability that are prototypical end zone targets.

The Packers had that line so tightly packed on that play it looked like they knew what Whiz would call. Why not at least try to take it outside or pass the ball?

i agree. i think the clock is now ticking on whiz. to go from 4 and 0 to 4 and 5 is unaceptable. if the whiz stays i will be surprised. after all us fans got the great taste of winning the division and also playing in the super bowl this will not fly anymore. i don't want to be a one hit wonder. :(

4-5 soon to be 4-6. A 6 game losing streak this year a 1-7 start last year a 5-11 year the season before that... enough is enough. No more excuses, no more "we didn't execute" BS in the post game interview.

"we didn't execute" should now translate to "my guys don't fit the scheme I insist on running and therefore I am not the right coach for this job"

It is Whisenhunt or the highway. He will be the Cardinals' coach next year. Don't get your hopes up

This is the third year in a row we'll go at least six weeks without a win. You can't expect a fan base to be that patient. Something needs to change. Soon.

I wonder if the Bidwills will finally take notice when UOP's sellout streak ends sometime in the middle of AZ's losing streak? Sorry, but fans can only put up with crappiness for so long - yes, I know that it's been a LOT worse in AZ, but once you get a taste of success, going back to mediocrity is unacceptable!

This is spot on. I said in the game thread that the owners have to realize that we have gone as far as we can go with Whiz at the helm. We are as far from the Warner led Super Bowl team as we can get on offense and we have a promising defense if they are not beat in to submission by long losing streaks.

Whiz's time in Arizona is done. He has not got this offense back to any symbalance of a NFL quality O. Most of this is due to his blind loyalty to Grimm and his choice of Miller to replace himself when he didn't get the job done. We have gone as far as we can go with Whiz at the Helm. We need new Leadership. I gave it time because wins cure everything and masks the massive failings in personell, coaching, game managment and overall playcalling. All I wanted is wins that get us in the playoffs and a chance to get a Super Bowl championship. This offense will get us a top draft pick. Been there done that. Whiz has failed and must go.

If you think the Bidwill's are going to eat his $5M+ a year guaranteed contract as this point, you're kidding yourself. He'll get another year.

With a QB with zero touch who would miss them by a country mile.

Yeah, we will see. If they lose out or have a 10 game losing streak( looking likely) they may pay him to move on. I good owner would cut his losses and not waste Fitz and the defenses prime with a poor game day coach like Whiz. Winning games by 1 point is great if you keep doing it. But no one has confidence that Whiz can keep delivering those kind of "D Wins". The O has to Win games and Whiz has stuck with a poor plan and Grimm to long. He has to go.

I know Powell isn't much bigger but at least try him or Smith for some carries.

Smith would be better in short yardage due to size alone.

Still have to account for them. Telegraphing a play by taking one of them out and not having the other in either is just..well, not successful.

This. And what if we didn't win those OT games? The games we have won were by the skin of our teeth.

Hit them plenty last season when it counted. You just can't play that way. If you think that you might as well call the league office and forfeit the rest of your games.

It's as stupid as benching a guy because he missed one play and now you can't "trust" him but you keep him on the roster instead of going out and getting someone who could play better.

Why aren't they running Sherman on short yardage???

This isn't college ball or Madden. FB dive doesn't work 100% of the time

I hate to pee in your Cheerios but bullbunk. This franchise entire existence from 1978 has been full of this garbage with scant, and I do mean scant, exceptions. Put this in your pipe and smoke it. Since going 10-4 in 1976, this franchise has had 6 winning seasons. 6. And that is counting the 5-4 strike shortened 1982. And only 10 non-losing seasons(4 .500 seasons) Name me one other professional sports franchise with this level of futility. So, no, nothing is going to change. The ownership of this team is quite content with being the laughing stock of the professional sports world. Christ, even the freaking Clippers seem to be turning things around. Not this team. They dangle the occasional carrot in front of us fans but this franchise has been garbage since the late 40's. What needs to happen is for fans to stop buying tickets. Stop going to the games. When that stadium is half full or full of opposing teams fans maybe, maybe they'll get the picture but I digress. SDS was empty 80% of the time and they still refused to improve the team.
