I saw in the Az Republic that J.J. Putz has been named Special Assistant to President & CEO Derrick Hall. I couldn't find it on their online site, AzCentral.com.
Putz will assist Hall and other departments throughout the baseball and business side of the organization. He will remain in uniform during spring training to work with pitchers and will visit minor league affiliates at various points in the regular season.
I wonder if his practical jokes on the players will return when he is in uniform.
