Former Notre Dame linebacker Jack Kiser has a new home as the Jacksonville Jaguars selected him in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Kiser was taken with the No. 107 overall pick.
Kiser played in 69 games during his college career, which is more than any Notre Dame player in history. The Indiana native was also named a team captain for his final season with the Fighting Irish, and his work ethic and character earned high marks throughout his career.
Kiser was also productive throughout his Notre Dame career. He was a four-star starter for the Irish, spending the 2021-23 seasons as the starting Rover before moving to Will linebacker for his final season with the Fighting Irish. Kiser had a career-high 90 tackles this past season, including a career-high 55 solo stops. He led the Irish defense in tackles this season while also racking up five tackles for loss, two sacks and two forced fumbles.
According to Pro Football Focus, Kiser also set a career high with 18 pressures, including six hits plus sacks on the quarterback. Kiser also led the Notre Dame defense with 35 run stops this past season, which was also a career high.
Kiser racked up 62 tackles in 2023. In 2022, Kiser set a career-high with six tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks to go with 58 tackles. In 2021, Kiser picked off two passes and broke up five more, both of which were career bests. He returned both interceptions for touchdowns, with one coming in a 41-13 win over Wisconsin and the other in a 55-0 win over Georgia Tech. He also racked up 45 tackles that season, which was his first full season as a starter.
The former Notre Dame standout finished his college career with 275 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, six tackles, seven pass break ups, four interceptions and six forced fumbles.
With Kiser being selected, all three of Notre Dame's linebackers from the 2022 and 2023 season were drafted into the NFL. Marist Liufau was taken by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft and JD Bertrand was taken in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
