Green Bay we were 13-13 until he led the winning drive. San Francisco same thing but a FG instead of a TD. Cincy we were down 14-10 until he hit Boldin, that was 3rd quarter so you probably don't want to count that as a comeback.

Of the 7 losses the only games we were realisitically in the game late were Detroit and Baltimore where his TO's prevented any comeback.

How's Thomas Jones doing, imagine Jake Plummer with Marcell actually playing, and a number 1, and number 2 picks to throw to.

I'll guarantee you Boldin would have better numbers this year, than D Bo did with Jake in his big year, (which Boston will never duplicate unless he can manufacture a trade to Denver.)

All the excuses will fly out the window when Jake has left his mark on the NFL in Denver, over the next 5-8 years.

The only shocking thing about this, is the fact that only 13 people out of 120 on this board felt that Jeff Blake was NOT an upgrade over Jake Plummer.

We got rid of a franchise quarterback in favor of Jeff Blake and Emmitt Smith. No use crying over spilled milk, we'll spend the next period of time HOPING to waste a top draft pick, and all the money they require, to find someone as good as Jake.

Great post Lex. We'll know for sure when Russ puts down his stat books and gets Jake's autograph.

Looking over the posts from last July and August a lot of the posters were all over themselves singing the praises of Emmitt and Blake. Now, we still are getting stats showing how good the "Little fella" is. He's been around, what, 12 years or so and hasn't won a damn thing. Wake up it's coffee time.

Hey, did you notice how Emmitt with his clip board was tied to Mac early in the game and disappeared when things went sour. Did see him sitting on the bench later. Wonder if he was trying to distance himself?? He wouldn't do that....would he???

I don't recall a whole lot of support for Emmitt signing. My comment was as long as they don't bury Shipp I'm ok with it but I was concerned when mac named him the starter. After the first game when it was clear SHipp was buried, I started complaining.

Since we're playing the "I told you so" game, remember all the posts over the years about how any QB other than Jake would get killed behind our OL? How Jake avoids more sacks than he takes? Remember the comments about how much more Blake will get sacked?

10 games, 17 sacks. After 10 games last year Jake had been sacked .... 18 times. Jake was sacked another 17 times the last 6 games with the OL injuries and WR problems. Of course Blake hasn't faced any of that this year the OL has been healthy and effective from day 1 and the WR's have been a non problem.

For all the talk about the bad OL and Blake getting blitzed to death he's not getting sacked any more than Jake did. Especially when you consider he played 3-4 games with a bad foot that he was taking pain killer shots for.

It sound like that team believes in Jake, not just sound-bite standards.

Glowing article by an AP sportswriter.

The Cardinal's season is over and Jake is heating up. The only thing heating up here is the pot of oil for the Coaching Staff and the soon to be acknowleged Quarterback-Controversy.

Who would have thunk it.

Russ, are you gagging yet?

I still wouldn't want Jake on this team.

Peace
