Long has been less athletic over the past two years which has really caused him to struggle with speed rushers. He just isn't moving as quick as he did out of college. Back issues could cause this, but after two years of disappointing play, I am begining to believe that he is more Levi Brown than Joe Thomas IMO. I would take Branden Albert, Eugene Monroe, Joe Staley, Trent Williams, and Joe Thomas over Jake Long at this point and probably even Ryan Clady, Matt Kalil, Russell Okung, and Duane Brown as well.

I'm willing to buy that. Muth in his OT preview didn't even have Long in his top tier. I don't know if he struggles as much in his pass set as Levi does, but I'm interested in seeing what Muth has to say later this week.

Ryan Clady is one of the best OTs in football.

But let's get back to the topic that needs to be discussed: The obvious hotness of Jackie Long.

She's hot. No doubt.

I can't believe the Dolphins are breaking up the unbeatable duo of Jackie Long and Lauren Tannehill.

OT: My sons will be attending Ole Miss if I have anything to say about it. Hottest college ladies hands down. As someone said on twitter, Ole Miss is where Miss America's redshirt.

Plus, if he's a college football prospect, Ole Miss is paying top dollar these days.

Basically, you can sign Jake Long and say goodbye to LSH, Toler, R. Johnson, and Q. Groves and replace them with undrafted rookie free agents and guys who are still looking for jobs in late April, or you can sign 4-5 guys.
Personally, I'd take Jake Long. Cards history shows those 4-5 guys will be the likes of Stewart Bradley, Adam Snyder, William Gay, Al Johnson, and Joey Porter. The Cards would get more out Long in 1/2 year than they would in all 4-5 guys of that ilk over their entire combined tenure in Arizona. And Long would cost much less.

Jake Long is damaged goods asking for 10-11 mil per year. Beware to anyone who signs this guy. Think about it, no one lets a franchise LT walk without compensation. Miami could have made the numbers work and chose not to....that should speak volumes. Pass.

:thumbdown

Also consider that the Dolphins have like 40 mill in cap space. With all that cap space and they still let a supposed good LT hit the open market. Something smells fishy here.

bad organizations do stupid things... us sitting on 30 million in cap space and letting of Dansby, Rolle and Q in one day is proof positive of that.

if this were the Pats or Steelers or Ravens... or Niners... or really ANY good team, I think you'd have a stronger case to be made. But when one of the disfunctional organizations lets a seemingly good player hit FA, that's when you need to look at him, IMO.

Jake Long is a 4x Pro Bowl Left Tackle during the 5 years he's been in the NFL. I don't support over paying him, but now that he's hitting the market he will see how much he's really worth. Let him heal and he will be a huge upgrade for our OL.

The Cardinals are cutting players, creating cap space. I bet its to make room for Dolphins LT Jake Long.

Florida Beat Writer...

Would love to see this happen, then kick Levi inside, draft Warmack and boom a total shift!

Don't want long. Back to back season ending injury to go on top of a bunch of minor injury in his back, knees, and shoulders. He just not the same player he was when he got in the NFL.

If Omar Kelly said it, it is probably wrong.
