Awesome.

I played my buddy in SF on Madden Xbox 360 last night. He was the Broncos and I was the Cards. Neither of us have played for 2 months.

3-0 Denver after the first half. Plummer is sucking it up.

In the third quarter, Edge rips off a 65 yard run for a TD, to which Jason and I joke "man this game is so unrealistic; Edge is getting positive yardage".

He pulls Plummer for Cutler and gets a FG.

Cardinals win 10-3.

I play the Superstar mode in Madden. It's awesome. I was drafted by the Vikings in the 4th round and have gone on to be the most dominant player of all time (it helps that the game is only on Pro mode). I'm a QB who in a rookie year passed for 10,000 yards with 150 TDs or so, and only 3 INTs.

20,000 posts wow that is impressive. Of course only 1/2 are on the Cardinals the rest are on the California Bears and the merits of the Pac 10 conference..:D

I figure 20% UCLA basketball, 20% global warming, 10% Dennis Green sucks, 5% Cal bears, 45% Jake sucks.

Why all the resentment? Plummer made plenty of stupid errors but he was fun to watch. Hell, he was our best QB since Neil Lomax. Plus, he was here for that mythic 98' season.

Sort of an inside joke.

But yes, Jake drove me nuts here, just as he's now driving Shanahan nuts.

At times it was fun, at times it was like watching a HS junior varsity QB.

Jake is doing everything he can to make me be right again so far in Oakland. 2picks already, first one thrown behind his WR in Denver territory, 2nd one falling backwards off one leg lobbed right to Fabian Washington.

Russ,

Plummer tried hard to for this disfunctional organization. I notice you never say anything about Plummer when he has a good day like last week. He did make the Pro-Bowl last year and took the Broncos to the Championship game. Last Cardinal QB to make the Pro Bowl was St.Louis Cardinal Neil Lomax. Since the merger no Cardinal QB has even played in a championship game. Instead of trashing someone no longer part of the organization how about moving on to another topic? How about this for a topic: Why has this team hasnt not been able to build an offense since it left St. Louis?

If you check you'll note that I specifically said Jake played well last week when it came up on this board. The reason you don't see many instances of me praising Jake for good play, is, he doesn't play well very often.

But if you really want to dredge this up again, how in the world can you say Jake tried hard here? he admitted he NEVER attended off season conditioning with the team while he was a Cardinal, not ONCE. He admitted he didn't watch film when he was here, said Shanahan had to teach him HOW to watch film. He even said he used to be busy holding foosball tournaments at his house when he was a Card, now he holds film sessions with the coaches.

How in the world is that trying hard to help this team? he was an immature kid with a huge contract who made some exciting plays, a ton of bonehead plays, and figured out he was going to start every game whether he played well or not, and was going to keep getting huge money whether he tried to improve or not.

And yes, maybe the coaches and organization should have cracked down on him but in the end, a hard working kid wouldn't have needed to be dragged out of his foosball games.

And as I type this, Jake throws his third STUPID INT of the game, not even close to his WR he led the CB perfectly though.

I make no bones about it, Jake is the epitome of what's wrong with this franchise he took the money and put in no effort to improve.

It amazes me that Bidwill is a banned topic but Plummer isnt. Who is more relavent for the future of this team?

So let it go Russ. There is so much unneccessary negativity. Why add more to it by talking about a guy who has not played here in years?

Lastly this organization was bad before Plummer and it is bad now. You cant blame that on Plummer.

Look you're obviously a fan of Jake's, that's your right, but why would you even read a thread called Jake Plummer still sucks? And if you read it you know it was a joke thread because it was my 20K post and it's an inside joke for people who have been here for years.

I just added to it today because Jake is singlehandedly keeping Oakland in front of Denver today.

Just threw pick #4 although it may come back on replay, hard to say if Washington's foot is inbounds. Would be his 3rd pick of the game.

Got lucky they ruled it incomplete even though it looked like the DB was inbounds. Very close.

Lucky for Jake, the other ex ASU QB in the game is even worse, Walter fumbled the last 2 possessions including just dropping a snap. So Jake gets off the hook again.

Sucks for you, probably watching Jake in the playoffs AGAIN, while the Cards trade down in order to take 2 3rd rd players late in the 1st rd AGAIN. Its obvious that Suggs would not help this team if it meant we would not have Pace & Johnson.
