yea..very stubborn football fan here...The broncos may make the playoffs (I Have revised my prediction - I thought they would not) as a wildcard - barely...

The receivers were so open against the raiders jake was almost stunned when he saw them - he probably thought - I must be missing something.

The broncos started out strong last season - won 1st three games...were 4 -1 to start..7 - 3 at one point..and then failed to make the playoffs (finishing 2 - 4 in their last 6 games). One of the those wins in the 2 - 5 stretch was against a Cardinal team that had lost a ton of players to injury - and alot of the ones remaining had already thrown in the towel.

last year the broncos beat the chiefs 2x and lost to the raiders 2x..this will probably be reversed this year.

also..the broncos were 1 - 5 against playoff teams last season. This tells me that they were 8 - 2 against non-playoff teams..i.e.. they beat who they are supposed to.

I believe that we should be happy for him! It was a good move for both parties involved. I can honestly say I am happy with our QB situation and I would have to think they are happy with theirs.

The wrong end of a Tequila bottle.
Jake didn't make any really bad plays. He completed passes to open receivers, he scrambled for good yards when he needed to, his ball fakes on the bootlegs were very nice. A couple of things have to be recognized too, if you want to give the proper accolades:

-Shanny can call a game. Have you ever seen so many wide open receivers in your life?

-Portis is a beast. I really didn't think he would be this good when he came out. The only question is, can he stay healthy?

-The offensive line is the most active in football. Those guys are always on the move, pulling, trapping, moving the pocket.

On the negative side:

-The Raiders are shadows of their former selves. Slow, old and uninspired.

-How can a secondary with Woodson, Woodson, Rumph, etc. leave so many guys open? Lelie's touchdown was badly under thrown and still, no one got close to him.

-Romo was a no show. How could he let Jake smoke him on the naked bootleg? That's exactly the type of play that can get QB's blown up.

Jake played well and didn't have to make tough plays. I still believe he is a disaster waiting to happen and truely look forward to the train wreck. Hopefully it will come at the hands of my old buddies the Chiefs.
