Seems like Lebron meets all teams in Vegas.

His camp is there? Cavs and Suns start summer league in vegas this weekend.

Seriously, what are the odds that LeBron's family--wife, pregnant, high school sweetheart from Ohio, and his two kids, looks like 8 and 11 years old, are going to want to uproot and move to Phoenix? His kids aren't going to want to go anywhere and his wife probably wouldn't mind heading back to their home state.

I think those family considerations are a major reason why Phoenix really doesn't stand a chance here.

Don't alot of athletes live in a different city in the offseason anyways?

Even if LeBron doesn't sign here, Kevin Love must have watched all the teams considered and noticed that the Suns would be a good team to go to.

That makes a lot of sense. What doesn't make a lot of sense is why it's taking so long? If this decision is a "no brainer" (Cleveland or Miami, period), then why are we still sitting on our hands? If fans think it's a foregone conclusion, don't you think the front office would have realized that a lot sooner?

I just think there's more going on than what we know. The disadvantage (or maybe advantage) to having a front office that appears to be masters at hiding their intentions (other than actually wanting to sign Lebron of course).

Letting Channing go was the first sign that SOMETHING is up their sleeves, with or without Lebron James.

Boy, I don't know about that. I think that once the Magic came up with that kind of contract offer, the Suns had no choice but to bid Frye farewell, no matter what else they do or don't have planned.

Maybe its LeBron saying "I want to go to Phoenix and win" and his wife saying "but my mother is back home. I want to go home. Please honey." Good grief, even the kids could be involved in the process.

I do believe it is about Cleveland or Phoenix right now. I believe Miami is out of the picture or he would have made the decision already.

Channing's departure might have turned up the heat on trying to get Love. Not sure which came first.

That's probably true, but the "offseason" is rather short. His kids will want to stay in their current schools and not be uprooted from their friends. His wife won't want him living alone in one city during the season while they stay somewhere else. I can't envision a scenario of this family being uprooted and moving to Phoenix. There is no connection here and the money is just fine in Cleveland or Miami.

Suns could have easily kept Frye, it is not like he got grossly overpaid, in 2 years the cap can be at 80M$ so 8M$ per is nothing.

We'll if we're to believe letting Frye go has anything to do with our current chasing of Lebron, than we might also believe that perhaps Melo's unwillingness to choose yet may also be because he and Lebron spoke and he's waiting too. If Melo is indeed involved in Lebron's choice. It would mean the Lakers and Suns are in a fight to bring them both. Problem with LA though is they can't sign both to max deals and if they could find a way, Kobe's contract kills them for adding anything else. I'm still, although minimal, holding out hope Lebron picks the Suns and we use the rest to fill the roster out. I really don't want another max this year other than maybe Bledsoe. I'd of course take whatever it takes to get Lebron in a Suns uniform, but I'm holding out hope it's just him.

I've never thought it could happen but KloD didn't just come up with the idea. It's been rumored since we first showed interest in Lebron. Local reporters said that the possibility of bringing Melo in, if Lerbon wanted him, would be one of our stronger selling points as few teams could offer this. We've shown no interest in Melo otherwise but I think the organization has just counted on Melo's supposed desire to pair with James.

I am not a Melo fan and fall in the the camp he is sort of a cancer. However, if that is the price we would have to pay to bring in Lebron?

Sign me the hell up.

We haven't been mentioned once in anything regarding Carmelo. He did a recruiting tour out west and from what I've seen, never once visited Phoenix or ever showed any interest in doing so.

I don't think anyone is saying differently? We're not on Melo's radar to the best of my knowledge. The rumor was that Lebron would be able to bring Melo here if he chose as we would have cap room for him.
