If reports are true, about LeBron wanting to name his own coach, then I don't want him. If he wants to be "the man" in the sense that he does not want a quality supporting cast, he is an idiot. Good grief, even Jordan had Pippen, Rodman, Harper and others.

James doesn't know what he wants, other than the illusion of power.

Lets be realistic. Lebron is not coming to Phoenix. I am actually for extending J Rich. i do not see a big name free agent coming here. We should stick with this group at least 1 mmore year. We just swept the Spurs and have made it to the Western Conference finals. Lets enjoy

See, that's what I don't get. How in the world would Lebron take a backseat to Nash? Nash isn't the #1 guy on the Suns. Sure, he runs the team, but Lebron wouldn't have to run the team to be out-of-this-world. I'm sure Nash would jump at the idea of having Lebron in Phoenix.

Except there's about as much chance of that happening as there is of me playing soccer for FC Barcelona.

First off Lebron wouldn't. He never would. He needs the ball in his hand. Did you watch any of the games? LeBron handled the ball the majority of all the possessions. He demands it. Steve on the other hand makes everything run. He needs to ball as well to distribute, drive make assists. You can't have it both ways.

I am sure Nash would jump at the chance because I think Nash by his nature would defer to LeBron. However, I am not sure that would be what is best. I would prefer a scenario where you go to LeBron when needed but everything still runs through Nash. I don't see LeBron doing that.

This is a meaningless topic. There is no way Suns can get LBJ. There is no reason he wants to come here. And after we win our first championship in the next 4 weeks, :) there is no reason to ruin the chemistry even if we could ship out half of the team to get him.

No way for Phoenix to land LeBron.

I'd consider it more likely for Nowitzki to join forces with his old buddy Nash. Signing a veteran contract (like Manning did 15 or so years ago), he would be one heck of a replacement for Frye.

Come on, Steve! Make a deal with Dirk. He'll come to Phoenix, and after winning a title here, you'll go for a season to help him in Dallas. ;)

I'd rather have Dwyane with Amare. I think their styles mesh better.

Sadly, I agree. The Heat are the biggest threat to go for Amare (they have far more cap room than any other playoff team), so I'm hoping they will target LeBron instead.

As for J-Rich, I'm not convinced he has really proven himself to the rest of the NBA. Larry Brown didn't like him and Don Nelson shipped him out. It takes a while for somebody to totally change his reputation.

You may be right about Larry brown but did nelson ship him out or it is a case of seeking greener pastures after the upset of the mavericks (cant remember the details of that trade) like Captain Jack. JRich was still the leading scorer in Charlotte when the trade was made, i thought Brown was building towards more defense than offense when we dealt him the crap that is Doris and Raja.
JRich also has to be one of the top SG in the league right now especially with his showing in the playoffos.

The primary point is that the Suns can go after a player if they want to. Maybe not Lebron, but someone else. JRich's play and contract make it possible. His play has been stellar and he has been such a team guy.

His play reminds me of what Ron Harper meant to the Bulls. Harper had similar abilities and probably would have been a #1 or 2 scorer on most other teams. But he played a role on the Bulls to win rings.
