#TCU CB Jason Verrett, potential 1st rounder, is slated to visit the #AZCardinals tomorrow and Thursday. Doing well post-shoulder surgery.

I wouldn't be happy if we took a CB in the first round... I perceive much bigger needs than a 3rd or 4th corner for this defense to be elite.

I think I've come to grips with the concept that Keim knows what he is doing.

Based on his comments and what our current moves indicate, Keim legitimately has a 1 year, 3 year, and 5 year plan in place that likely has some wiggle room.

If he believes Jason Verrett would be BPA, I would have to defer to his judgement. His moves at least in the short run, have vindicated any question of his acumen.

Plus Jason Verrett is a hell of a player. If available in round 2 when we pick, I would be ecstatic if we took him.

if he got drafted at #20, he wouldnt be a 3 or 4 most likely. Cro would be a 3. I am ok with high picks for corners as they can be trade bait down the line while having stacked DB cores. Once PP21 gets paid we cant afford elite #2 CBs unless they are on a rookie salary. Once they are going to get expensive, get some picks out of them.

It is possible and if BASK picked him in the first, I would trust their judgment

I'm hoping that the Texans take Clowney #1 and are looking to move back into the first round in order to take a QB. We'd get the first pick in round two plus a 3rd or 4th round, probably fourth, pick. We'd then have the first pick on Friday with a lot of offers for that pick. Would make for a LOT of fun.

I can understand the speed but I thought ARZ was looking for length like SEA's secondary. I would prefer Jean Bapiste in Round 3. He has the speed to cover the slot plus the size. Use first 2 picks on a pass rusher and S, unless they want to take a S in Round 3.

Exactly, a 6'3 cornerback is too stiff in the hips to properly cover the water bugs with speed teams use out of the slot... but the Nebraska kid would be great as a #2 corner or even safety help on a TE

Yep. Haven't we learned over the years that this fad of tallish corners usually produces a lot of duds? I remember in the late 90's, this was a fad as well and it push guys like Wilfork (can't remember first name; Oklahoma), Michael Booker, and that kid the Niners took from Miami who was awful.

Corners have to be able to turn and run, and guys over 6'1 generally aren't as good as shorter guys. It's rare that 6'3 corners can do this.

I like the idea of Jean-Baptiste. Sounds great, but it also sounds like it could bust or he could be a better safety prospect down the road. Jean-Baptiste really came on last season, but before that he was just a guy.

I'm leery of players that weren't very good until their senior seasons, especially if we're talking about 1st or 2nd round picks.

None of SEA's secondary are as fast as Tavon Austin or run sub 4.5 40's but they are considered the best unit in the NFL and won a SB so....
