STOP GAP. Had a good year in Miami and can keep us competitive while we groom a rookie. Plus it would save about $15 million per year that can go into David Johnson's pocket instead of a QB like Cousins.

Nope, nope, nope on BOTH of them. :barf:

We are going to get a stopgap veteran, its going to happen. We likely cannot afford an elite one and all stop gap veterans kinda suck. It is what it is. Otherwise you are putting all of your eggs in the draft and if your QB is taken before your pick in the draft, now you have no QB.

Hopefully not one of those two. Cutler > McCown I guess. I repeat: :barf:

Not the worst idea. Sign him up.

Dolphins are willing to sign Cutler for $6.6 mil to be a backup to Tannehill for 2018. Probably would not have to match his $10 mil ( that is cheap for starting QB) of last year. He can sling it.

Cutler can play; but I would be worried about how he would negatively impact team chemistry. . .

Bradford, Cutler, Taylor, AJ McCarron, all those guys are pretty damn good for a bridge quarterback. We are drafting our QB of the future, unless we have no aspirations to ever win a Super Bowl, and honestly this year is great for a bridge QB with a QB deep draft class :)

Cutler was rated at #33 and Stanton #31 in the Bleacher Report review of 2017 QB play.

Don't get sidetracked by the name recognition. Cutler was reunited with Gase in Miami (the coach he had his best season with) and still had a below average performance.

Maybe a stop gap guy for the Cards and a drafted QB? When the season is lost, play the rook. Cutler should be able to get Fitz his yards and maybe even his 92 catches to go #2 all-time as a receiver.

Anyone have an idea how Cutler would perform under McCoy?
