Dolphins | Fiedler Likely Gone - from www.KFFL.com
Wed, 26 Jan 2005 09:30:57 -0800

Alex Marvez, of the Miami Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins QB Jay Fiedler is expected to be released by the team as he is scheduled to earn $7.8 million next season. Fiedler has emphasized his desire to be a starter, something that would not be guaranteed considering the club's confidence in QB A.J. Feeley.

No matter who is suggested as a QB there is always a chorous of "NO's". Hell, we could have a suggestion of signing Peyton Manning and there would be a bunch of No's. Good thing we as collective fans do not make a choice as we would NEVER reach a consenus.

I would wan't him if there are no other QB's available. I choose him over not adding anybody of name value.

He is better than Shaun King but that is not saying much. He just doesn't have a very strong arm. I just think we can do better.

Nein!

If we sign a veteran it has to be someone who can start and push/beat McCown should we resign him. I don't think Fiedler is better than McCown, and we already have a veteran backup we hope never has to play in King.

I don't think Bidwill is willing to spend the money to get a special helmet for Fiedler to squeeze his ears into. :D

If it means getting rid of McCown I might take him. He would probably cost less than the high tender McCown is gonna get and he has a heck of a lot more experience.

He has more Td's than int's and his career QB rating is almost 7 points higher than McCown. He certainly is not the answer, but if the Cards wanted to draft a young QB, get rid of McCown and replace him with Fielder, I wouldnt scream!
