The question was whether it was worth bringing him in for a no-risk look, at zero cost to the organization. Pokerface felt that Williams had negative value, so looking at him for zero cost would be a mistake. Everyone else believed that Williams had at worst zero value, and possibly positive value, so it would have made sense to look at him.

Basically the question is, when someone offers you a free lottery ticket, do you accept it and say "Why not," or do you sneer about how it's probably a loser.

i thought this whole arguement was about us finding someone better than Williams FOR THE VET MIN....even if it were just for a camp invite and non guarranteed contract. you went ahead and changed that all up.

i'm done with this ridiculous arguement.

When Jays name first got brought up awhile ago some people didnt mention the money aspect...some people mentiond using the MLE....some mentioned using the vet minimum....some mentioned trying him out in camp. I said I dont want him period and basicly laughed it off.

So I didnt change anything....

Hmm...comparing the lottery draft pick Williams to a lottery ticket. I like the comparison but its more like someone giving you a three year old lottery ticket where the winner was already announced long ago. Now do you want to say thank you for the ticket or laugh it off like the joke it is?
