I'm sure other teams will go after him, too...but I think the Suns young talent would intrigue a guy like this...He could have early success, since he wouldn't have to reshape a veteran roster and earn their buy-in...The Suns' main veteran, Chandler, would be good with this transition, too, and remain a good locker room leader...IMO.

So basically saying....I am staying....but maybe I could leave....but this is where I want to be....but things can get crazy and I could leave.

Sounds like the window is open for the right offer but a team like the Suns have no shot with a low ball offer. It's probably going to take a life changing contract to get him to leave.

There were also several stories where Ainge was quoted saying he thought for sure the Suns would land Stevens because McDonough had long touted him in Boston.

Stevens would have failed here. I do not think any coach would have succeeded with that broken locker room. The Morrii would have poisoned him.
