According to the media, Jeff Bzdelik is the next Doc Rivers--going from COY candidate to out on the street in less than a year. It seems strange to me, because I like what both Bzdelik and Kiki Vandeweghe have done with the Nuggets, but that's what I've read...
Our own coach, Mike D'Antoni, seems to be very safe for now, but the Suns could use another assistant. Bzdelik's teams are usually well-prepared, and last year they made their reputation on defense, so he might be a good fit.
I'm not sure whether D'Antoni and Bzdelik ever worked together in Denver, but if they did, that might give the Suns a head start in recruiting him.
Just something to think about tomorrow night, if you get a chance to watch the Nuggets (hopefully) blow it against the Suns and wash out of the playoffs for good.
