Arizona Cardinals tight end Jeff King has yet to make it onto the practice field with the team this offseason.

According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, King has been unable to participate in OTAs after having surgery on his knee this offseason.

The Cardinals are hopeful he can begin practicing again with the team in June. King dealt with a knee injury last season for the Cardinals. He appeared in 12 of 16 games for Arizona and caught 17 passes for 129 yards on the year.

King is on the bubble as far as I am concerned.

I am a huge fan of the guy, but he is older, and was HORRIBLE last year after his injury.

If he can get back to how he played in 2011, then he should start, if he stays where he was in 2012, the he should be cut.

It was that big of a difference, IMO. I have never seen King get blown up on blocks, and it seemed to happen every game last year.

What is worse ? There are VERY few tight ends left as free agent possibilities.

Hopefully playing with the knee injury is why he had such a bad year and it didn't ruin him for this year.

Fine line for these players. You are labeled injury prone or not a team player if you don't play hurt/injured. You play injured and aren't as good and or make the injury worse and ruin your career.

Gerald Hayes did that with his back IMO.

I agree that King should be on the bubble. He brought very little to the table last year. Knee surgery is not going to help his chances. I would not be shocked to see the Cardinals add a TE at some point before the start of the season.

Even if he should be on the bubble there is no depth on the team to replace King. Let's hope he returns strong.

The biggest sucker signing ever

Man I bought hook line and sinker that we finally had a solid TE

Baltimore was brilliant in using Todd for every yard he had left and letting him go.

Hurry up and sign a dime a dozen TE to replace the dime a dozen TE.

There are always players who get cut on teams that are deep at TE and there are still free agent TEs to be had. Maybe they trade NE for Jake Ballard, who knows. Jeff King might actually be one area where anything else is better than what we have.

I almost agree, I am just saying the picking are slim.

And after the D'Anthony Batiste experiment, I will never again believe that "anything" is better then what we have.
