Him and Weddle together is probably the best safety tandem in the NFL.

Ravens get a good player. Jefferson goes to a pretty good organization.

Smart choice by Jefferson to forgo a few dollars now to play for a better organization, which should set him up for another possible payday down the line.

Love seeing undrafted players work their way into a payday.

Did he really forgo a few dollars?

Ravens and former Cardinals S Tony Jefferson reached agreement on a four-year, $36 million deal, per sources. Jefferson teams with Weddle.

Sounds like he broke the bank to me!

remember last off season when we offered him the low tender and no teams in the league cared? funny how 1 year in the badgers position skyrocketed his value

Will never forget how TJ was one of the only players to show up at Carolina in the NFCCG (which should have earned him a higher RFA tender from the Cardinals---and a new contract---but for whatever reason the Cardinals always low balled him). He balled that day...and was dang good the past two years. Best tackler on the team when we needed him to be without a healthy Honey Badger.

Sounds as though the Cardinals paid market value for him at that time. Why give him a higher offer than necessary? Nobody else signed him even at the low tender.
