The Raiduhs will pick him u---er, I mean...I wonder who will pick him up now.

When you're cut by the Raiders, that's not a good sign for your career.

Just heard on the radio.

He has now joined the likes of Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith and Tim Couch.

Those high picks are always like rolling the dice in Vegas. Sometimes the do and sometimes they do not. Let us pray that Matt does not join this elite group. In any event they depart with million dollar bank accounts. Not a bad way to start life in your early 20's. Beats the h--- out of working 8-5 for 30-40k with the chance you can be laid off any day. You have to wonder just what these guys are equipped to do in the real world?

I think I read 38% of Arkansas athletes end up graduating from school. Surprisingly, at least to me, is that almost nation wide only about 50% of students who start college graduate within 6 years.

If you are a Kentucky and you give a scholarship full ride to a super high school athlete like they did two years ago. It was a forgone conclusion this young man was so great he would only be there one year. I think Kentucky had 3 of its starters turn pro this year. By giving this one year student a full scholarship you take one away from someone who might even graduate. Is there something wrong with this type of system? Would they have not have served the school better if they had not just let him go straight to the NBA like Lebron and not waste their money on a one year so called student athlete scholarship. They should drop the name student athlete for in fact few of these athletes ever graduate. Perhaps there should be a requirement that any student must have at least a "C" average to participate in athletics. That was the way it was when I was in college. Some of the athletes I hear can hardly speak English so how on earth can they get a "C" in anything. Student/Athlete is really a sham. Nearly all of our colleges are hurting for money and are raising tuition every year and we continue to give these athletes $10K to $30K a year in tuition and other expenses to play for one or two years of some sport. Great for us as spectators but still something is wrong with this.

I really admire the ones who pass up the money to graduate. It may be stupid financially but I still admire them.

Why is it that all the media pundits keep mentioning the cardinals as likely landing spots for Russell and anyother washed up hasbeen? Seriously! Azcards blog says bodog has Russell 3/1 odds to wind up with cards and 10/1 with ufl!

Is the media really that hard up to want the cards to return to laughing stock of the league?

I could have seen us doing this 10 years ago. But since the year leading up to the new digs this has been a different team.

Here's mine:

.09 Games
.05 Touchdowns
11.41 Yards passing
.99 Pass completions

You will need to work 357.84 years in order to make JaMarcus Russell's annual salary.
EDIT: Annual salary was 36K....

I saw i
NFL Live on Friday because they say Russell's agent is a freind of coach and Uban's blog.

My feelings also includes the media's obsession with Bulger to the cards...

The media is just trying to make story because it is the offseason & they nothing else to write about. The media is acting like Warning was the savior of this franchise & that the Cardinals will fall back to losing Cardinals without him. The Cardinals are going to see what they have in the qb's that they have before they go looking for another qb. If Anderson or Leinart doesn't step up to the plate, I wouldn't be surprise if the Cardinals do not go after Bulger.
