Kusama Checks Out Jennifer's Body

Fox Atomic has hired Karyn Kusama to direct Jennifer's Body, a quirky comedic thriller written by Juno scribe Diablo Cody.

Megan Fox will play a cheerleader in a sleepy town whose perfect life goes haywire when she becomes possessed and begins killing the young men in town who lust after her.

Hard C partners Jason Reitman and Dan Dubiecki will produce with Mason Novick. Reitman directed the Cody-scripted Juno for Atomic's sister company Fox Searchlight.

Kusama directed Girlfight and Aeon Flux. Shooting begins in early March.

Plot Summary: A sexy horror film with a wicked sense of humor, "Jennifer's Body" is about small town high school student Jennifer (Megan Fox), who is possessed by a hungry demon. Meanwhile, Jennifer's lifelong best friend Needy (Amanda Seyfried), long relegated to living in Jennifer's shadow, must step-up to protect the town's young men, including her nerdy boyfriend Chip (Johnny Simmons).

Prob the same reason I prefer a topless club over a nude one. Its nice to leave something to the imagination. FYI: No boobs in this movie!

This movie was cast wrong with Megan Fox and the advertisements make it seem like a horror movie catered to guys.

It was written by Diablo Cody and is supposed to be an over-the-top take on high school female frienemies. Girls don't like Megan Fox, though, so it's not going to sell to them very well, nor do the previews give the correct impression of the style the movie is going for I think.
