Citing a source, Newsday reports that ILB Bart Scott will not be back with the Jets in 2012.

Scott is entering his age-32 season and his salary jumps to $5.6 million in 2012. It sounds like he'll be released. Scott's playing time dropped this year as he was removed from the Jets' nickel defense. Pro Football Focus still graded Scott as one of the league's premier run-stopping 3-4 inside 'backers, so his career shouldn't be over. He's just not an every-down player anymore, and needs to be held out of pass-coverage situations.

It's a passing league now.

And Scott is now a "role player".

We will need a little depth at ILB, IMO.

I think Paris Lenon may retire.

Guys like Bart Scott, or a Chris Gocong may be players the Cardinals look into.

I'd take him.......next season, we play the AFC East, which, right now, has 3 teams that love to run the ball......as well as the entire NFC West, which has each team's best offensive player as a RB.
