1) G, Alabama, Chance Warmack (if Joeckel slips to us, he would be the pick, OT of his caliber when your OL is hurting cannot be ignored and it just happens the best players on the board are OL from strong selection. Warmack is a beast and our present guards of crapolla will be gone as soon as our cap implications allow it)
2) DE, Texas, Alex Okafor (would be fine with QB Tyler Wilson as well, I think Okafor is first round talent and a steal in the second regardless of how he is currently ranked)
3) OT, Arkansas- Pine Bluff, Terron Armstead
4) QB, Oklahoma, Landry Jones (if no QB early, I like Jones here...yes, all these QBs have faults and a vertical speed threat like Goodwin at WR would be nice here too)
5) RB, LSU, Spencer Ware (if no QB selected to this point, I like Matt Scott or Brad Sorensen as QB pick)
6) S, ex-Miami (Fla.), Ray Ray Armstrong
6) C, Youngstown State, Lamar Mady

hey, it's a mockery...this kid here is no guru LOL

Love the Ray Ray Armstrong draft pick. I said in another thread yesterday that I would love to add him in some capacity. Some have him going as early as 5th round, some have him not even drafted. Has the potential to be a steal though.

Some have Michael going as early as the 3rd. Which is too early for the Cards. I know they like him. There will be a TON of RB's and WR's available in the 4th and 5th Rds.

Personally, I hope they can resist picking Mike Glennon in the 2nd Rd. and focus on M. Scott. I know it will be tough for Arians to pass on Glennon because he just about gushes over him, but he's a dead duck back there in the pocket. We can have a real good draft this yr. if we don't over pick (draft too high) at the QB position. Let them fall to us - 3rd or later. Their not worth anything higher this yr. Especially since Stanton is seemingly gonna get his shot.

I am on board with that.

Your two first picks are exactly what I would like to see the Cardinals get.

Okafor is going to be a good pro, IMO

Something tells me we are going to draft a QB (I think that is almost obvious to most), I know I heard it mentioned that the staff feels we should draft one every year regardless of the QB situation. I like Tyler Wilson the most but it is very hard for me (though my knowledge is of course limited) to want to take one even in the second with the rest of the talent available in other positions. This draft is offering OL and some pass rush talent and you cannot wish positions of need if they are not there (as the QB) BUT we do have need on the OL and pass rush and it happens to be there. I like Ware (having Mendenall withstanding) because he gives us a power back and the possibility of getting that short yardage which has eluded us the last couple of seasons to freaking keep a drive alive...because our back is going to have to move some trash with the guards we have in play.

1. Warmacks a solid pick. Id prefer Fisher since stud LTs are rarer to find. Levi to RG.

2. Too high for Okafor. Hes a 3rd round talent.

3. Terron is a combine freak, and nothing else. HEs like Vernon Gholston. Dont let his measurables fool you, he is not a good player.

4. LAndry, Im not a fan of his, but id take a shot on him in the 4th.

5. I dont like Ware. I think this is a deep LB pool where we can get some better character guys.

6. Ray Ray, in the 6th round Id take a risk on him

I love reading every ones posts. I just wish we wouldn't use terms like garbage or junk to describe players. Out of all the kids that break their backs trying to get to the pros most don't. The ones that do are special when they are signed. Some adjust, some not strong enough, some never really learn the game. But all were stars somewhere along the way.

Say we need to upgrade because so and so doesn't meet the needs or he never really played up to the grade ranked 34th, Maybe watching him play or simply upgrade the o-line these are the stats. I'm sure if players read this board they would laugh at some of our comments including mine I suppose.

Bodha is well known in NFL circles. His collection of game film and personal insight with the players themselves makes all his statements definite...oh, and the man has a ton of moxie :D

I keep forgetting about Ray Ray. He'd be an excellent pick.

The comparison of Armstead to Gholston makes absolutely zero sense. Gholston wasn't a top 6 pick because of his combine workout. He had a good combine but he also had very impressive on field production. It would have been very hard to see him not making it in the NFL. His problem was between the ears and wasn't motivated to be a good NFL player.

Armstead has very impressive measurables but has level of competition questions and is seen as a very raw player with a high ceiling, which was not the case at all with Gholston. Actually, Okafor is a better comparison with Gholston than Armstead. Not in that Okafor will be a failure, but more from the physical numbers, playing ability, and college production standpoint.

I like this mock, btw.

all the talk re: Warmack remind me of Joe Thomas draft. He has way too much upside to last to pick 7.

I wouldn't be shocked to see him drafted at #1.

Chiefs now have their LT set with a guy who didn't give up a single sack last year. Pair him up with Warmack....wow!
