I take it the correlation just flew right over your head. No one is mentioning Turner or Shanahan, at least not here(I heard Shanahan's name pop up for Denver). DVontel said that hiring Caldwell would be a good ol' boys network hiring when nothing would be further from the truth. The mentioning of Turner and Shanahan were examples of what a good ol' boys network hiring would look like. You could include Wade Phillips in that. Hiring Caldwell isn't anywhere near a good ol' boys network hiring. The guy is a proven winner whereas someone like Turner isn't but he kept on getting head coaching gigs.

And promptly went 6-10, threw for 700 fewer yards, 8 fewer TD's, 1 more INT. As a matter of fact, this was the first season since 2010 that Stafford failed to throw for 4,000 yards and his lowest TD total since 2012.

Don't know if I'm pro Caldwell now, but definitely wouldn't hate the hire, depending on his staff. Does Bowles have a history with him?
