I hope your kidding, Marion is a stud has been one of the Best small forwards in the league for awhile now, and if you remember the Dream Team Marion was the best player on that squad when they struggled. We have to make this trade but Marion is not appreciated as he should be here. He does so many things that go unappreciated, to say he is not worth a kid coming out of college not named Durant or Oden is a joke...

Marion for a #10 or #11? Sure... A #5 and players?? Sorry...

Exactly. We don't deserve Marion. Celtics fans will love him and appreciate what he does!

That trade works out too perfectly for the Suns for it to happen. They could then package their draft picks to move up in the draft and select someone like Noah to replace Thomas.

If we get Garnett AND if we still make the trade for the top 10 pick this year by trading both first rounders and ATLs next year I am going to cry.

As hard as I am on Marion, boston keeping jefferson and only moving #5 is a GREAT move for them.

Agreed. This was one of the few trade scenarios in which it seemed that everybody got what they wanted.

The Celts can be a force in the East, the Twolves get draft picks and expiring contracts so that they are set to rebuild, and we get Garnett.

MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!!

Ok now I'm worrying we're getting too optimistic and this is gonna blow up in our face, need to temper our expectations.

The Celtics' superstar just asked to be traded if they didn't bring in a star. Marion would be a 20/10/2/2 guy for them and would put them back in the playoffs IMO. He's worth a #5 pick for the Celtics.

Yeah, if this trade actually goes down, we definitely need to thank Paul Pierce.

I think it would be hilarious if, when Boston comes to Phoenix next season, Marion gets only modest applause but Pierce gets this thunderous ovation.

I want to see the utmost praise for Marion if this deal happens. Nothing but praise.

What else are we giving up in this deal? Surely the 24, 29, and Atlanta '08 picks have to be in there somewhere. I can't imagine us being able to take KG and still having ammo left to move up...

The Suns may be able to keep 1 of there late 1sts in this deal but they will not be moving up and they won't have next years Atl pick unless they add Barbosa.

85% of boston fans will disagree with you.

No they won't... Oh, they'll be happy that Ainge made Pierce happy - for a while... But when the Celtics barely win enough to get into the playoffs next season, and they lose in the first round, they'll forget about why they made this move...
And then the following season, when they won 52 games and lose again in the first round, they'll be reminded that making Pierce happy was not a good reason to make this move...

You don't have to worry about that. The Wolves and Celtics will bleed the Suns dry of picks before agreeing to the trade. That's okay, though; it will be worth it.

I really, really don't think that's going to happen, but if it does happen, Kerr deserves the Executive of the Year award immediately!

Marion is a stud, and if this pans out we'll see what we have come to forget what we've had the last 8 or so years. He's been nothing but professional while he's been here and has been very durable.

That said hopefully what makes up for what we WILL notice when Marion is not on the team, is kevin garnett and what he brings that we haven't had and that it is more.

Please no barbosa. Hopefully no KT thrown in. If this doesn't go through I still think we have the most talented team in the league and can win it all next year.

Personally I always hoped Marion would play his entire career here. Too bad we couldn't McDyess the Celtics.

Look at the Eastern Conference. Adding Marion makes them a seriously threat in that weak conference, IMO.

always a bridesmaid, never the bride. If Marion blocks this, it will go down in suns infamy right next toPaxson for 3, Elie for 3, Amare and Boris off the bench for 1... and actually, it's probably worse.

this ain't happening. i just know it.
