Literally everywhere Harbaugh goes they win and win big. Putting him and Kliff in the same sentence is absolutely laughable.
Agree. What’s impressive about Harbaugh is that he’s pretty much always taken over programs that were down & he‘s rebuilt them. His ceiling may not be as high as Payton’s, but his floor is significantly higher than SP’s. Either way, they are both experienced, which is a critical factor this time around. The Bidwills have never had a clue on how to build a franchise top to bottom. No guarantees, but someone like Harbaugh or Payton give us far more hope than a young coordinator type.

I also prefer Harbaugh the HC to Payton.

Payton is more likely to fix Kyler and get the most out of him in my opinion. Which is really what it's all about.

I could see Kyler and Harbaugh really not getting along and I don't trust Harbaugh to bring in an OC good enough to fix this offense. His coaching tree on that side of the ball outside of Greg Roman is guys like John Morton and Geep Chryst.

I don't see him putting a good offensive coaching team together.

This is another thing we can disagree on. The personality towards players of both Payton and Harbaugh are not as different as you apparently think it is. If Kyler is going to have an issue with one, he is just as likely to have an issue with the other. Also, Harbaugh has less "off the field" baggage than Payton. Harbaugh has a ton of coaching connections so his "inability" to put together a staff is laughable.

Finally, Payton made it work with Drew Brees. Harbaugh made it work with Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick. I'm just saying that one of those QBs is not like the others.

Based on what, though? He rode Colin Kaepernick to a Super Bowl, who many here say Actually Sucked.
Exactly. Kyler > Colin and if there is anyone available that can get the most out of Kyler, it would be Harbaugh.

Sure he's not great, but he did lead an 11 win season. Maybe nothing to write home about, but that's only happened a couple times in AZ history.

Ah yes, Wilks...who led a 3 win Cardinal team...one of the lowest in history.
I didnt like wilks as a coach. But I kinda feel for the guy.
Rumor has it lil stevie keim has often been absent from the office for months at a time the past few years.
Getting a shot at a HC gig only to find you are working for a raging alcoholic diving headlong into a longterm tailspin....I wouldnt wish that on anybody.

agree. There is more evidence that Drew Brees made Sean Payton than there is that Sean Payton made Drew Brees.
Harbaugh on the other hand... he grabbed Kaep and proceeded to wring out every ounce of football talent that guy had.

Him and UM are under investigation for recruiting violations. I could see him pulling a Pete Carrol and bolting for the NFL before sanctions can be handed down

I could too. Although when he said he wanted to stay, was that before or after he knew about the investigation?

lmao... it can be sticky.

as an adult, you have a conversation with some teens and decide you are hungry...
"come on, Let's get a burger, my treat"

kinda natural thing to say.

Is that type of thing a violation anymore after the NCAA changes that players can profit?

I dunno... dude up above said his violation being investigated was that he bought some cheeseburgers for some kids
Possibly. I'm just going by the article I read.

As Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh reiterated his intention Thursday to remain with the Wolverines in 2023, the NCAA is investigating the program for alleged violations during the COVID-19 recruiting dead period, sources told ESPN....

According to a source, the NCAA's draft of notice of allegations includes a Level I violation for Harbaugh not complying with or misleading NCAA investigators. Level I violations are the most serious and can lead to harsher penalties. The draft also includes four Level II violations, centered around the impermissible recruiting contact during the COVID period, according to a source. These violations are less serious and are the ones Harbaugh was asked about by NCAA enforcement staff.

I would say Harbaugh is a surer prospect due to his multiple track records of resurrecting a program/franchise, but for the most part both are winners

He’s facing a Level 1 violation for lying about it. Not gonna face the death penalty, but can cause at least a year bowl ban if found guilty.
