Well, I was trying to "post"...

so I got bits & pieces. Talked about some of the Hall of famers he played with Dan Dierdorf, Jackie Smith. Said Mel Gray used to come across the middle fearless like he was 6'5". The defenders would aim high, he'd go low, and be gone for an 80-yard TD. Talked about the Bidwill's including the alumini in all this and said he hopes it continues. He smiled ALOT and seemed genuinely happy for everyone involved. Said he was going to Mike Ditka's Grid-Iron GREATS party. Raise $$ for the vets who need help. Jim Hart to me was ALWAYS a class act. I ENJOY rooting for guys like that. Anyways, hopefully someone got it on tape. You don't see alot of 60/70's Cardinal stuff around.

Me too. Jim Hart is one of my top 5 favorite Cardinals of all time.

Fun times indeed.

I love that pic too. I'm jealous of you (!).

Does anyone else find it odd to see Hart in the new Cardinals jersey?
Only because he looks about the same as the rest of us old dudes with gray hair and expanding waistlines.

;)

Pretty cool that Andy440 is wearing the "old No. 17". Did Hart see the jersey and come your way, or did you call out to him?

He was a gunslinger like no other!!!! My brother met him once and asked him if he would autograph a ball for me. He got a practice ball out of their lockerroom and signed it for me!!! A great man indeed!!!

Nice. I never meet him in person, but when I was a kid I wrote him a letter. I told him I lived in Oklahoma, but the Cardinals were my favorite team and that he was my favorite player.

He sent me a personalize autographed photo which floored me. Then I discovered on the back of the photo he wrote, "Thank you for taking the time to write me. If you ever get a chance to see one of our games in person, stay around after & say hello. Sincerely, Jim Hart".

Wow, what a classy guy! I still have that photo.

It was on ebay, came from Thailand I think. I was looking for a long time, also recently found a red one on ebay also it is a Reebok throwback.
Had to put "Jim Hart jersey" in my favorite search where they notify you when what your looking for comes up. Its crazy right now almost all the Cardinal jerseys on there have bids.

;)

I saw Bill Bidwill JR out on the Great Lawn and told him I would really like to meet Jim Hart,he told me to come down to the front row before the game & he would arrange it. Larry Wilson took the picture. Say what you want about the Bidwills but to me that was something I will always be appreciative of .
