BYU's Jimmer Fredette is doing great at these workouts and moving up in the draft. I don't see him being on the Board at #13 when the Suns pick. If they want him they will have to move up to get him. Just my two cents.

I have a feeling he won't be there either. Most teams are just deflecting right now and sending out false vibes to throw other teams off. I have to say I won't be heartbroken if he is not for reasons I have already posted.

If the Suns really like Fredette and they have good reason to believe he'll be gone by #13, they may very well try to move up to get him. They may also pass on more interesting prospects in the process and give up too much to move up. So I would prefer that he'd still be available just so that the Suns don't trade away future picks to get him.

If this teams moves up to take Jimmer this freaking front office truly has lost it. The Suns don't have much to offer and you don't move up in the draft to take a guy that will hinder your team for the next 10 years defensively.

Moving up to take Jimmer? In this weak ass draft the price gets too expensive the second you start asking for more then this years pick and a throw in player.

I thought about this and if we can't get Fredette and Biyombo or Faried is there at 13, I think I will pick Faried. I am in love with this guy's aggressive play and rebounding ability. We could use that.

Yeah whats better than a 6'7 215lbs PF senior with no offensive skills whatsoever.

Oh wait.. this isn't 1990 and Faried is not Rodman.

Bah.......most of the players in this draft are NOT the next <insert ridiculous NBA player comparison here>. Which makes trading up a ridiculous proposition if someone is asking more than a swap with #1 and a throw in player.

At least they get an actual piece instead of selling the pick, right?

Don't worry as soon as Faried gets on the court and his +/- stats stand out, Slinslin will hop on board. Biyombo is a freak athlete. I guess his upside is Serge Ibaka. I think Faried could give the Suns some serious help on the boards which they need since Rolo is done now.

Because the teams directly in front of the suns don't really need a PG I thought if Utah grabbed a PG early he would for sure be there for the Suns..

But now with teams not really looking at him ONLY as a PG he could go to any team picking 7th-16th...

I still think there is a chance, you gotta think, he is not going to Detroit, Charlotte has a chance but they have much bigger holes than PG, Milwakee has a little PG already, GS already has Curry/Ellis...

That leaves Sacramento (stronger possibilty as the days go by), and Utah (if they go big at #3, it would be a forgone conclusion he is their guy at #12)

Jimmermania while he may never be a superstar would be the best draft pick by the Suns in a Decade... period...

Getting rid of The Dragon and #24 for Waterbug Brooks don't look too hot right now... if they resign him I'll be surprised.

Fredette? Meh. I think there'll be better players available. We need two-way players with NBA size. I have no clue who will be there when we pick. Wish we could trade up to get Williams.

Hmmm best pick since Amaré? I have no idea...

Here in Jazz Nation, more and more are convinced Jimmer won't be available @#12; many believe Sactown is going to take him. The workout yesterday between Fredette and Walker was covered live, with more reporters than any previous workout. Ty Corbin was quoted as saying Fredette was much better in person than any video he had ever seen on him.

Let me go out on a limb and say - I would trade up to take Jimmer. Period. The Suns have plenty of crap players to offer! Now, I'm sure there won't be any tackers, but I would offer anyone but Gortat and Nash to Sacramento for their pick. I believe Fredette is going to be a good player in the league for a long time.

Look what JJ Barea did this post season. Fredette >>>>>>JJ Barea. People think Fredette just throws up 30ft jumpers - not true. He drives into the lane a lot on screens and sick cross overs, and then effectively uses his body to shield blockers.

Please pick Jimmer. Who wants another 'athletic' project with no offensive skills, or poor basketball IQ?

Desertdawg likes Jimmy, Desertdawg thinks we'd be lucky to have Jimmy. Jimmy's ready, Jimmy's got some moves, but there aint no way he makes it past Utah. Desertdawg doesn't like misunderstandings, if it's such a weak draft, why are we worried about who will fall to #13? But Jimmy is very unusual.

Jimmy who? The guy from Hoosiers? He was pretty good but he'd be really old now. Now Jimmer, that's another story.

In reference to your sig, what prompted TJ to say that?

No love for Seinfeld?

Nah, I was just pointing out that he doesn't go by Jimmy (or even James). He goes by the name Jimmer. This nickname was given to him by his mother when he was just a wee lad. Apparently you have no respect for the sanctity of the family. Well, you can say whatever you want but I for one will not sit here while you badmouth the mothers of the United States of America.

I can't remember... It was something to my disgust the Suns did and I, tongue in cheek, said I would never watch another game. Of course, TJ felt it was sacrilege and immediately called for my head.

I don't remember either, but whatever I said must have lasting power seeing as it was at least a couple of years ago and you still have it on your signature

As far as Jimmer goes...I hope he's gone by the time we pick. Let him go to Utah and be the BYU sensation and fan favorite.....then screw them over by being nothing more than a fringe rotation player a la Eddie House
