cousins was ok. Still a few around the valley.

Their onions were something fierce and I love onions. The stench just lingered forever. Not sure what kind of onions they used or what they did to them but they were potent. Ate there a few times but wasn't a fan.

I like Blimpie better than JJ. At least they slice their meats to order. Quiznos is going the way of Bennigans and Krispy Kream. Subway is terrible.

No on has mentioned this alternative, but Sprouts also has awesome sandwiches for like $4.

Sacks is pretty good too, but on the higher end of the price scale.

Jimmy Johns is a good sandwich. Its better than the standard chains for sure. There red peppers are the bomb :)

Prices are really decent as well. The bread is pretty damn good. Regardless of your guys aversion to "pre packaged" meat. Which damn new every deli uses. Including some of the places you guys are pimping that are lesser known. Im betting many of them use pre packaged meat and you don't even know it.

BigRed Im there with you! Its no Capriottis. But its pretty good.

No the subs they use for delivery are all pre made and stored in a giant walk in. That is why you have to order by number.

At the place, everything is set to only remove, not add to their goofy subs.

It is like when McDonalds used heat lamps and "no extras".

Yes because it is PRE MADE. It is the same crap you can get at the tubs in the grocery store.

I have no idea what you mean by pre-made.

They slice the bread, load on the meat and cheese and then the toppings just like Subway does.

Which one do you go to?

The ones I've gone to all make the sandwiches fresh - Country Club / Baseline, Chandler Mall, and several out of state.

Just got back. First time customer.

That was the WORST friggin' sandwich I've ever eaten, and I am the farthest thing from a food snob.

Bun was rock hard and so cold it had to have come out of a fridge, and no they don't let you make it like they do at Subway. You get it just as it says on the menu. The line is encased in stainless steel, so you don't know what options there are and they don't ask.

If I was on a road trip and my only options were JJ's or a gas station wrinkly hot dog, I swear I would get the hot dog.

Not ever going back.

Also, if you order a fountain drink from them to be delivered, they will only bring a medium. They will not deliver large drinks. That's dumb too. I need a large iced tea to choke down my "Gargantuan" sub!

:p

Haven't tried Jimmy. Of those mentioned, Romanelli's and Jason's are tasty. My favorite lately has to be Heidi's Brooklyn Deli on 83rd ave and T-bird. Freshly baked breads, homeade soup and salads. The Hell's Kitchen sandwich is bomb:

Marble Rye, egg salad, swiss, bacon, avocado and special hot sauce. Oh baby!

I prefer Mr. Goodcents. They actually slice the meat for your sandwich...not just pre-cut cold cuts sitting in a tray like the other places.

51st and T-bird. You're right about the meat, great bread too!

You know Capriotti's? In Ahwatukee?

They have about 15 of them up here in Vegas. They are awesome. I wonder if its the same company as the one in Ahwatukee?

I voted yes.. my fiance over-hyped it before they arrived in AZ, but I think they are pretty good.

Dilly's Deli (a few locations), Bison Whiches (Tempe), Sticklers (downtown), and Hero Factory (downtown) are my faves.
