The Cardinals might have found their pass rush in Bryant if they got a huge body like Kennedy who unlike Tanner is extremely fluid for his size and can completely bottle up the middle and kill any inside running game, open up the pass rush for Bryant and let our undersized LBs make plays. He would be 'Big #2' on the defense. I'm not looking at how a player on his own could prosper but how a player could make the whole line prosper, if we had Rice (and I think Suggs could be just as good or better) still... we would still have DL problems.

I have had those same thoughts. Honestly, I wouldn't be upset if we took Kennedy.

Kennnedy or Robertson also should make McKinnon more effective. He was league leading tackler until last year, when he had to fight off lineman so much.

Suggs, for however great a pass rusher he may be, is not going to help other players especially McKinnon like a solid big body in the middle will. This defense does not generally lack speed, it lacks strength, especially up the middle.

Strengthen the middle and a lot of other dominos start falling in the right direction.

I would be very happy

If we took Suggs, Leftwich or Kennedy I would be happy but Kennedy might fit the defensive big picture better.

Noooo!

My guess is ****** Jimmy Kennedy will drop past 15 on draft day. Lots of talent but he's prone to huge weight gains and lazyness. I don't like him at all.

Wasn't that some of the criticizm on Albert Haynesworth? Tons of potential but lacking motivation. Towards the second half of the season he looked pretty good for the Titans.

A DT a DE or Leftwich, all good selections... We have enough holes that any pick will help...

What we cant afford is a BUST! So whom ever we get, PLZ do your homework!

Isnt there alot of DT's in the 2-4 rounds? I think DE will be the best move in RD 1, so we can get a DT in 2 or 3...

Apparently Kennedy has re-dedicated himself to football. I heard somewhere reliable that he was living at the gym this year and wants to be a true force. Im all for Kennedy at #6. Please dont draft Trufant.

Although I don't do it often, I have to disagree with Skkorp here, who makes Kennedy sound like Yusef Scott. While Jimmy Kennedy certainly had weight issues early in his college career, he has demonstrated the last two years that he has over come them.

A recent article on him (will have to find the link) included an in depth interview, and I felt that he seems to have figured out what being a pro athlete is all about. I think he will succeed, but only time will tell which of us is right.

I'm not basing this on fantasy wish like my 10-win prediction for the upcoming season, but based on his actions the last two years.

Go Cards!!!

Hope if Cards do pick Kennedy he decides to be Ted Washington and not Bernard Wilson.

I've been saying for awhile now that a stud in the middle who could collapse the pocket would instantly improve our rush because it forces the QB to take flight on the outside. Even KVB and Johnson could get more sacks this way. If Kennedy is the man at #6, then we get Peek in the third. Hopefully he will be on the board. Remember when Swann was at his best, Kennedy could take that role. Stop the run, and smash the pocket inside out.

But he showed things on the field last year that make teams question his motivation and attitude. He doesn't have much endurance, and wears down over the course of a game.

I might not like the pick of Kennedy, but he is truly the boom or bust DL at the top of the draft. I really don't think he will be a good player......what I mean by that, is that he either will be a great player or a gigantic bust. He has the type of ability, if properly motivated, to be great.

If you actually look at Haynesworth's stats, he actually had basically the same season as Wendell Bryant.

Everyone says he was great at the end of the season and that really isn't true. He looked good in the playoffs, but other than that, really had a mediocre year.
