OLB vs DE not same position.
As I've said a whole bunch of times
OLB vs DE not same position.
Well...Vance took over in 2019 and the Cardinals were #2 in the NFL in base defense usage at 38%. The previous year in Denver, Vance's defense was #1 at 45%. 2017, Denver was #5 but still at 41%. Looks like Vance uses base more than just on first downs.I listened to it. He said nothing I haven't said here. He talked a lot about JJ playing 5 technique with an OLB outside him which as I've said he did at the Texans on 1st down.
Considering we only play 3 man fronts with a 5 tech on 1st downs it's not going to be any different.
Unless they go nuts and say were just going to play base every down so we can have JJ at 5 tech. Which they won't.
I'd feel the same way...Not a fan.
I'd feel the same way...
Sadly, seemingly every other down is a first down when Vance’s defense is on the field.Well...Vance took over in 2019 and the Cardinals were #2 in the NFL in base defense usage at 38%. The previous year in Denver, Vance's defense was #1 at 45%. 2017, Denver was #5 but still at 41%. Looks like Vance uses base more than just on first downs.
I don't know about the production, but it is easy to see that Watt's personality is filling a void that was present on our roster last year and several prior. Our best hope is that Baker, Simmons, Collins, and Murphy are able to assimilate and carry it on. It is just unique even if it is somewhat a show.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
