What about Roy Williams?

By the way, I don't consider Q or Fitz top five but I do consider Q top ten. Just like Hines for Pitt. I'd trade Fitz for Roy Williams right now and never look back.

There aren't many WRs that I'd trade Fitz for, but I'm not sure that Roy Williams is one of them. Not after the dive he took at UofP last season. I'd trade Fitz for (realistically) Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, Steve Smith, Chad Johnson, and Torry Holt. I'd also trade him for Lee Evans and a second rounder.

Q? That's a little tougher. With Fitz still across from him, I'd take Smith, A. Johnson, Wayne, and Holt. And maybe--maybe--Santana Moss.

After the way Williams laid down like a big sissy in front of AW during the game this past season? Hell, even the Lions fans in front of me were laughing at that. I'm not sure I'd trade Bryant Johnson for Roy Williams, much less Fitz.

K9, just because of the huge debates you have had with many on this board (me being one of them) I agree that this post is funny as heck! talk about life repeating itself.

As for the list.

You can take Randy Moss off of that list right away.

That and Steve Smith being ranked over Chad Johnson is ridiculous.

Steve Smith ranked over Torry Holt is debatable as well.

Yeah, I can definitely see that. Honestly, I would probably take Moss off, too. But I would replace him with either Andre Johnson or Reggie Wayne.

Reggie Wayne?

I don't think Wayne makes my top 10.
- Ha! I proved myself wrong in the next post!

By the way K9 I think your fascination with Steve Smith is like many of our with Anquan Boldin. The debate about the best WR in this league could go on for an infinte amount of time. I bet there are at least 500 electronic pages on this subject amongst the records of this board.

My Top 10 WRs in the NFL Right Now:

1. Marvin Harrison

2. Anquan Boldin

3. Chad Johnson

4. Steve Smith

5. Reggie Wayne

6. Tory Holt

7. Larry Fitzgerald

8. Chris Chambers

9. Andre Johnson

10. Marques Colston

Not Bad, Here is my take:
1. Chad Johnson - The guy is in his prime, and when utilized is unstoppable.

2. Torry Holt - The guys is just that good. I have bashing this guy, bad mouthed him, doubted his skill. But he can take over a game, come through in the clutch, and if you put Holt in Harrison's situation he would be putting about Jerry Rice type numbers.

3. Steve Smith - The genetic freak. Speed, quickness, toughness a good hands. He plays like a man possessed. Plus he plays with a very average QB. You got to give him his due.

4. Marvin Harrison - I think he is a great WR in a great offensive system. His number always look great, but I think Peyton has a little bit to do with this as well.

5. Andre Johnson - Last year he showed how he can dominate. I can't wait to see him in an offense that lets him stretch the field. He will move up this list in the next few years.

6. Larry Fitzgerald - Like poetry in motion. Larry Fitzgerald just makes it look easy all the time. I think he has the best hands in the league. I think the number he could put up if he was the main reciever would be staggering. I still was amazed by his performance against the NYG two years ago. They couldn't stop him

------ From here it gets a lot tougher --------

7. Roy Williams - This guy can run hot and cold, and it is frustrating. When he is hot he is unstoppable. But when he is cold he dissapears. If Roy gets some consistancy in his play, and his offense we could see how good he really is.

8. Reggie Wayne - Your prototype cookie cutter receiver. Great speed, good hands, and benefits from an offense that has too many weapons to cover them all. I personally don't think Wayne is that special or that good. But numbers don't lie so he has to make list. But if he does then eventually TJ Houzemensadfhahd will too.

9. & 10. I am side stepping the rest of this list. Pick 2 out of the three:

Javon Walker - Speed, great hands, and has the ability to go WAY up this list. If he could learn some things from Rod Smith (who 6 years ago would be in the top 5) the sky is the limit

Hines Ward - A great competitor. Good hands, physical and blocks like a TE. If you think Boldin is a top 10 pick then Ward has to be in the list as well. He has basically been playing the same style of WR for years.

Anquan Boldin - I think I will never ever have a un-biased view on Boldin. (K9 taught me that :) ) How can you not enjoy watching this guy play ? He is like having a TE out at WR. He punnishes DB's in the running game, and then again after catches in the passing game. Q must have rookie CB's in this league saying "WTF". He has grea passion and desire. My concern? Stop dropping the darn ball. But may enjoyment of watching Boldin and reasons for this can be summed up in one play from last year. Green Bay, We threw a quick out to Boldin and instead of Q trying to juke his way around the CB (Al Harris) he caught the ball and then smashed into Harris and drove him 10 yards down the field for a 1st down...... you just don't see that happen.

Why nots ? :

Chris Chambers - The poster boy for potential

Marques Colston - Way to early to put him up there with some of these names. If Joe Horn's age wasn't catching up to him he would not even be considered the best WR on the Saints last year.

Roy Williams and Andre Johnson are the best young receivers in the game IMHO. Both play for dog teams, but are model receivers. Speed , size, ability.

I really like Reggie Wayne. I think that right now he's a better WR than Marvin Harrison is. Look no further than his performance in the Super Bowl if you doubt that. What I was really, really impressed about with Wayne is the way he was able to deconstruct the Broncos' Darrent Williams (RIP) like Derrida when they played on Monday Night Football last year. Check out his stat line: 10 rec., 138 yds., 3 TDs. Wayne went over 100 yards receiving 5 times last season.

When Larry Fitzgerald was matched up against Darrent Williams later in the season? 5 rec., 77 yds., 0 TDs.

Never in a million years would I make that trade. With thoughts like that I am surprised that Bidwill chose Whiz over you for the HC job.

If you mention Roy Williams coming to the Cardinals... I can guarantee you would finally see the "speed back" in JJ that we all heard about...except his "speed" would be him exiting the facility and never coming back...
